The directions from the train into Aix were not explained well: after getting off the train, you have to take a "navette" (shuttle bus) into the town. Cross the street, and catch bus #4 to the hostel, but be careful because it stops running after 8pm. The bus ride is short, and it is possible to walk because there are many signs for the hostel.
The building is new looking and the grounds are well maintained. There is a ping-pong table, a tennis court, and bike rentals. The rooms are decorated nicely and have shelves and hangers. There is a small bathroom and water closet in the room. The shower is clean, although the shower floor is the same surface as the rest of the bathroom floor, so the water gets everywhere! There are lockers to keep valuables (but you have to pay) and the hostel feels safe. Each room has a balcony with a nice view.
Breakfast is included and has several options: cereal, bread and jam, coffee, hot chocolate, juice… The hostel is very clean but it can feel a little vast and impersonal.
