Set in the heart of National Park Village, Plateau Lodge is the starting point for all of your summer and winter activities in the Tongariro National Park. The adventure playground of the North Island.
Close to bars and restaurants you are never too far from the action. Open all year round you'll never miss that perfect day to hit the slopes or tracks.
Whether it is Mt Ruapehu with Whakapapa or Turoa Ski Areas in the winter, or the Tongariro Alpine Crossing or Whanganui River in the summer, Plateau Lodge is the perfect place to base yourself from with all of the modern comforts at your fingertips.
We have something for everyone here at Plateau Lodge. Whether relaxing in our cosy lounge, hanging out with friends, or soaking in our private hot tub you'll feel right at home in our warm and comfortable lodge accommodation, with a choice of basic standard rooms or ensuite rooms.
Relax after a fun filled day in the wilderness, or after a long drive in one of our newly renovated two-bedroom apartments. Enjoy your own privacy but still make the most of all of the lodge facilities. Park in front of your apartment for easy access.
Apartments:
We have six newly renovated, spacious and warm apartments each with a separate lounge, full kitchen with dishwasher, bathroom, two bedrooms, Sky TV, tea & coffee and FREE WIFI access. All apartments have heat pumps, air conditioning and endless hot water for that perfect comfort. Apartments sleep up to 6 people with a queen sized bed in one room, two single beds in the other and two fold down couches in the lounge. A comfortable base to relax in after an adventurous day in the great outdoors. All bed and bathroom linen is provided and apartments are serviced daily.
Our cosy lodge has two double en-suite rooms, one family en-suite room and six standard rooms. The lodge has a large guest lounge with a 42" Tv and Sky, a fully equipped guest kitchen and modern communal bathrooms. There is loads of space to relax after a long day. Chat with friends in the lounge or soak in our private hot tub. You can keep in touch at home and abroad with our free guest phone and internet station with WIFI.
Ensuite Rooms:
Doubles and quads, a great option for couples or families who would like their own privacy. Enjoy your own bathroom, Sky Tv, fridge and tea & coffee in your room but still make the most of the lodge facilities. All bed and bathroom linen is provided and rooms are serviced daily.
Standard Rooms:
Perfect for families or groups of friends. Two rooms have four single beds (bunks) and four rooms have a double bed and a set of bunk beds. With the use of the lodges shared facilities you have everything you need for a holiday to remember. All bed linen is provided.

| Localización | •Plateau Lodge is situated on Carroll St in National Park Village, on the junction of State Highway 4 and State Highway 47. • We are in the heart of the North Island on the edge of the world famous Tongariro National Park World Heritage Area. • Plateau Lodge is just a 20min drive from Whakapapa Ski Area, a 55min drive from Turoa Ski Area and 25min drive from the starting and finishing points of the Tongariro Alpine Crossing track. • By Road: • From Auckland - Take state highway 1 until Ngaruawahia, then right onto state highway 39 to 8 mile junction just after Te Kuiti, then left onto state highway 4. Follow the signs to National Park on state highway 4. About 4 hours drive. • From Wellington - Take state highway 1 until Waiouru, then onto state highway 49 until Ohakune. Continue through Ohakune on state highway 49a and turn right at the state highway 49a and state highway 4 junction onto state highway 4 to National Park Village. About 4 hours drive. • From Taupo - Take state Highway 1 until Turangi, then turn right onto state Highway 41, then left onto state highway 47 to National Park Village. About 1 1/4 hours drive. • Both the train and bus stop in National Park Village daily. |
