Informe de Hostelz.com
This is an interesting hostel, a place that tries to be fun and almost succeeds. Finding it can be a tad confusing, but it's only about 10 minutes from the train station, and another 20 to the old town center. The owners are nice enough, though reception tends to close briefly at odd times. There is lots of info about the surrounding area available here, along with internet (1 computer). There is a common room and a bar which serves some food, but hardly anyone hangs out in these places until after midnight. Dinner and breakfast are available but expensive. A market across the street provides cheaper options.

Dorm rooms have decent bunks (8-10 beds), card access, and pay lockers outside the room. Bathrooms are mostly clean and single-sex. The hostel doesn't seem very close to the old town, but the walk is not bad and goes through some castle gardens. There is 24 hour access to the hostel, though the bar supposedly closes at 1am (if people are having fun though, you can talk the bartender into staying open later). Many trips are offered from here (go to the ice caves on your own though, it's cheaper and easy, despite what the reception might tell you). This place is nice enough and tries hard to have "atmosphere" but doesn't quite succeed.

5 Fantastic
Have stayed at the Yoho twice (2004 and 2006) and both times great value. Beds comfy, dorms clean, food and bar great. Fab location to the Old Town.

4 Very clean and comfortable
There have been recent refurbishments, including a new TV room, and computer room. Smoking is allowed in the lobby and bar areas. I found this hostel very clean, quiet, and has great staff. It is only about a fifteen-minute, pleasant walk to the Altstadt.

5 Fun!
I had so much fun here, the staff were cool, and this hostel was one of the most travel friendly that I encountered. The bar is super, the bartender was so damn funny and fast with the drinks. Cool hangout areas and they even serve decent meals there in the evening. My four-bedroom dorm was cool and had its own normal clean bathroom, no issues. Within a five-minute walk of the Altstadt in a very good neighborhood. This is my second trip to Salzburg and I will come again and stay at the Yoho in the future, one of my favorite cities in Europe.

5 A fun time
We were there in August, and the place was great, easy to find and close to the central station, the staff were super interactive and friendly. The little bar downstairs is a riot, and breakfast is pretty delicious and fairly priced. They have some sweet tours too, which are a tad expensive, but Sound of Music is a must-see, the ice-caves tour is great for anyone who's mildly adventurous and outdoorsy. Really good atmosphere, though a little loud at night, would stay there again in a heartbeat.

3 Not that kind of great
As a traveler, it is always hard to get warm with a hostel that takes in Busabout or other tour operators. When there is a group of thirty or more want to be backpackers, taking over the hostel, dumping every bag in the way, making noise the whole night because they are drunk and party, take over every common room including the breakfast buffet and all have to be ready at the same time, because the bus leaves and all need to take a shower and have breakfast, then you find out, that backpacking changed to the worst. On the hostelz.com website it says there is a kitchen, which is not true, only the kitchen of the bar which sells you food. Signs are everywhere, telling you you cannot bring your own food or drinks into the bar! Location is good, close to the train station, they have Wi-Fi and internet. The lockers are very good and secure. Staff is very helpful, once they find the time for you. Overall, it is a place to stay, with an atmosphere that only rises when you have more than one beer.

4 Overall very good
Recently upgraded, this hostel has changed since two years ago when I first came. The social atmosphere wasn't as good here this time -- especially with some rather rude Americans. It seams like Canada and their people are taking American's spot as being welcomed and being good people. The hostel only received four stars because everything went perfect, there just wasn't anything that made it go up and beyond. They do have some sweet lockers that lock and unlock with your room key. I would come here again, but try to get a room with only people you know, or pay for the extra beds.

4 I have a good night there. You can always watch movies in a room. But do not forget to leave anything there for it will not come back. They do not have the lost and found. I am disappointed. It is not so far from the central part and much nearer to the station. Another advice is that it seems a little difficult to find (cheap) restaurants in this city, maybe that is why I saw a lot of people have dinners in this hostel. The hostel also provides the sound of music tour with price 30 euros, which is rather low. The trip is good but not worth 30 in my mind.

3 This hostel is ok. It's quite near the train station and it's not very expensive although you must pay your breakfast separately which will cost you an extra 2.5 or 3.5 euros per day. The rooms are not excellent but are decent. Thank God they don't use any longer the token machine system in the showers.

3 This was an okay hostel. Of all the hostels I have stayed in this has got to be my least favorite. I say this because this hostel is all about profiting from broke backpackers. They charge you for everything including lockers and towels. They even have a machine in the bathroom that thank God they don't use, that charges for shower. No eating or drinking in your room because they have a bar and sort of diner downstairs for you to buy things from them. Even the internet is one euro for fifteen minutes, which is a lot. on my second day there I went to an internet cafe five minutes away which was a lot cheaper. The staff are really not friendly, maybe the bartender, but the women staff are more interested in foreign guys than females. the only good thing about this hostel is the sound of music tour but you can do that anywhere.

4 Bloody great hostel. It's easy to meet people, the staff are not overly friendly but helpful enough, breakfast is relatively cheap, and the rooms and showers/toilets are clean and comfortable enough. The only complaint would be about the staff. They don't seem terribly interested in what's going on. However your fellow travelers will ensure you have a great time — just be friendly. ;) (I would have given it 4.5 stars if I could have.)

4 This may be one of the best bang for your buck hostels in Western Europe. The rooms, bathrooms, showers, and lounges were all spotless. The bar was surprisingly hopping, and everyone (including the staff) were quite friendly. My only criticism of the hostel itself is the ANNOYING showers that turn off automatically. Salzburg as a city was a disappointment, but Yoho doesn't deserve any lesser rating for this. Great hostel!

3 Just an average hostel. I got lucky and had a dorm room with shower to myself since no one else wanted to pay the extra 2 euros for the room. So, it might worth trying that if you want a little quiet. It was clean too, so no complaints, I just didn't find it to have much personality.

4 This hostel is a little above average. It has a nice, small bar and has good location. However, there's no need to stay here for more than a day or two because Salzburg doesn't have that much to offer. It's a good place to relax and rest while backpacking through Europe.

4 Nice place. I stayed in an eight-bed dorm, which I had issues with because of one of the roommate's boyfriends. Other than that it was a nice place to stay. I would recommend to girls that you use the newer showers on the top floor, they were nicer than the others were. Plus they no longer require tokens for showers! Overall a pretty good place.
