Pioneer Backpackers Inn

Located in the Tourist District of Cow Bay, this building dates from the early 1900's. The rooms are cozy, bright and cheerful with brand new comfy beds. Friendly and informed staff, complimentary wi-fi and a computer kiosk, communal common rooms with TV/DVD and basic clean, comfortable rooms with linen provided. Our atmosphere is family friendly with a focus on providing a safe, secure environment.

The building capacity is 45 people, with accomodations ranging from a mixed dormitory to semi-private and private rooms with en-suite bathrooms. We have one private room with an accessible washroom as well. There are 6 communal, private use bathrooms, and a well equipped kitchen with restuarant quality appliances. Laundry services are available at an additional cost for guests, as well as a huge backyard with a gazebo and BBQ/firepit. The hostel has a complimentary shuttle service from the BC ferry and Via Rail Terminal between 9:00am and 10:30pm. Dogs are welcome for an additional charge of $10. Reservations are recommended May through September.
