It is a bit of a journey to get there but it is a beautiful island and the hostel has a great view of the water. Near the Naples train station, take a bus to Molo Beverello, the port. From there, take a ferry to Ischia, then take the #1 bus to the hostel. (The bus ride is about half an hour.)
Breakfast and sheets are provided, but the breakfast consists of a packaged bun with jam and a token for the 0.50 euro coffee machine. It is picked up at the front desk between 8 and 10 AM, so most people eat at different times, and therefore breakfast isn't very social.
The hostel is in a well-maintained building with patterned tile floor and a nice big balcony off each room. Each balcony has a table and chairs, and is a beautiful spot for watching the sunset. The hostel is a little noisy, as it is right next to the road. There is a pool (although it wasn't filled at the end of May) and there is a bathroom and shower in each room. The showers have a hot and cold tap, which means that, unlike most hostels, the water is continuous and you can regulate the temperature. The rooms and the bathrooms are quite clean. The common room has a TV and a computer that you can use for the internet.
It is fairly easy to meet people and the balconies are close together so you can socialize with the people in neighbouring rooms. It has a relaxed and fun vacation atmosphere; people traveling to Ischia are often looking for a rest from heavy traveling and interested in lying on the beach.
BE WARNED: There are a lot of bugs, even in the hostel at night everyone gets eaten alive by mosquitoes!
