Discrimination. They only take Couples, Families (couples with children), and Female Travelers! Bookings made by one or more male travelers will be canceled, and deposit will not be refunded, sorry! Sounds like sexual discrimination here. Maybe managers can learn about equal opportunity.

I only have good things to say about Sartour Hostel. The first night we arrived in Sarajevo we stayed in an accommodation that belongs to the another hostel and it was just terrible, the worst you can imagine. The room was dark and dirty, the door was made of yellow glass, so you couldn't have privacy, I had a spider in my bed, and the bathroom was disgusting. Then we went to find another place, and we got to the Sartour Hostel. The two brothers who run it were very nice and friendly, and the rooms were just great — very clean. The hostel is situated in the upper town. It's very quiet and totally safe. We had a guided tour, provided by the brothers, and it was really nice. It made us a lot more aware of what happened and stills happens in Sarajevo. They showed us a lot more than monuments. I'll return for sure. And Sarajevo is an amazing city.

I was looking for a place to stay, and found more than that. This is a very good place, with a nice staff, and a nice and cozy atmosphere. I felt very safe, and enjoyed the view from the balcony. I hope I can come back again.

One of the owners is completely rude and abrasive. The other is alright actually, and means well. HOWEVER, it's the extras that do my head in. The dubious 2 Euro tourist tax, 3 Euros for linen, 10 Euros for laundry, 10 Euros to use the kitchen, 5/10 Euros for breakfast. I just found it ridiculous. This place is fine in all other aspects though, and the walk up the hill from the main square isn't far, and it guarantees a quieter night away from the traffic.

Nice and clean, directly in the center, nice staff - always in for a good chat, and pretty informative about conditions and history of the city. I'd like to return some day.
