Hostel & Hotel Bella Capri is a chic, hip hostel in the center of Naples. Many city attractions can be reached on foot or by public transportation from this hostel. The ferry port is closely located, making this hostel ideal for exploring several islands off the coast, such as Capri and Ischida.
There are several dorm rooms with four or seven beds, depending on the size of the room. They don't feel overly crowded at all. The lockers in the rooms are spacious for small backpacks and valuables (you must leave a deposit for the locker key). There are some lockers in the hallway as well.
There is only one shared shower for the dorm rooms. Some dorm rooms have a bathroom in the room. However, if you don't plan well for your shower, you may need to wait for a long time. The whole hostel is orderly and very well kept daily. The bathroom, shower, and toilets are spotlessly clean.
The common area is very spacious. There is a big, flat TV with cable, which is on all the time for the guests. They even have a collection of DVD movies for the guests to watch. There are many guidebooks and other books in different languages for the guests as well. The ambiance of the hostel is very friendly and hip. In the common area, there are three computers with free internet. Free Wifi internet is also available for those with notebook computers.
The kitchen is very minimal. The common fridge is very small for the size of the hostel. There is only one small, two-burner electric stove, which is very slow. Cooking your own food might be challenging. There's a microwave also. Free breakfast is provided from 7:45 to 9:45 a.m. There are several vending machines in the hostel for various cold drinks, including beer, and snacks. Also there are vending machines for hot coffee and chocolate drinks.
The manager and staff are very friendly and always present for any information and help. Alfred, the owner/manager of the hostel, is exceptionally friendly and helpful. He works very hard to make sure the guests enjoy their stay in Naples.
Be sure to have a five-cent coin to use the elevator (it is coin-operated during the day). The reception of the hostel is located on the sixth floor in a big, business-looking building. Besides taking R2 bus, you can also take Tram 1 from the train station to the hostel, which will get you off on Via C. Colombo. Look for the Burger King on Via C. Colombo which is just around the corner from this hostel.
