I stayed for a few weeks here and I must agree that it's not the cleanest place I've stayed at. But the great thing is that we're free to do whatever we want, no curfew, no lockouts -- although you're expected to clean up behind yourself, wich many people don't respect. And I got daywork and then a job through there. I've met wonderful people and it could be a better place if the other persons were cleaner. To finish, most of of the staff are very kind and helpfull for everything you need.

I've just been at the crew house and I wouldn't suggest it to anyone but sailors. It's dirty, ugly, without breakfast, there is only one bathroom for everyone, and the staff is neither friendly nor helpful. When we arrived our room was filthy and full of garbage, we complained but couldn't do anything else but clean it by ourselves. We had to leave 30 euros each for deposit and when we left the lady gave us back less than we deserved. At last we almost lost our train because they opened the reception at 10.
Comment by scott - it's cool though!

though not the cleanest or nicest hostel in Antibes, the courtyard really does rock! eveyone seems to get on for the most part and i once saw Virginie (the owner) smile! cant wait to go back and would definitely stay again. watch out for opportunist thieves though.

I was at the crew house last year at the beginning of my stay in Antibes, then again towards the end. I had the best summer ever, met a whole bunch of wicked people from all over the world and definitely made some friends for life! Everyone has a story to tell and the courtyard was the gathering place, whether we hit the town or not after we started drinking! I was there alot even when i had an apartment for seven weeks! Too many drunken nights to remember! No facilities to cook but there is Via Pizza over the road! Hope to get back out there again this summer. Go there, you wont regret it. but oh yes, there definitely is a ghost in the toilets!

The Crew House is fab, so ok its not a five star hotel but you get to mix with so many different people and the courtyard is definitely a happening place. If I was to go back I would stay there without a doubt, so many laughs to be had pure fun and games, watch out for the ghost in the toilet though!

This place rules, you get to meet very interesting people with some amazing stories to tell. And boy I wouldnt worry about the bed bugs if you knew what really happened in those beds/showers -- wear Jandles in the showers. The crew house is a sweet place to crash -- wicked people go a long way.

Very dirty and there were bedbugs in our room while we there. There was one sink and two showers for 24 people. It was only cleaned once a week so you can imagine just how filthy it became. It is cheap but you get what you pay for. It was great for getting contacts and meeting people new to the industry.
