Founded in the Summer of 2004, Old Town Hostel warmly welcomes you to Sibiu. Tremendously located in the oldest and most romantic square of the city, we are proud to be the only hostel in Sibiu.
We have customised a 450 year old German Saxon building, that for centuries hosted a pharmacy with an alchemist lab.
A light and inspiring atmosphere has been created by large old windows, which contrast with the dark corners of our brick arcade basement.
Located in Transilvania, Sibiu offers an extraordinary blend of old and new. The region is well renowned for its efforts to preserve its mystic charm, whilst being in tune to modernisation.
A walk through our old town between architectural jewels in the company of nightingales and transylvanian bats is something not to miss!
All of Sibiu's amenities, such as pubs, museums and historical monuments are located within minutes of the Old Town Hostel.
Old Town Hostel is a project with the aim of establishing self determined multicultural dialogue between locals and travellers. To serve this purpose, in the near future we intend to open a cultural meeting place with games, theatre, films and music in our cellar.

TRIPS:
Together with Old Town Hostel you can go on trips into the South Carpathians (2400m altitude), and visit German Saxon fortresses. You can also experience the culture of ancient shepherd villages surrounding Sibiu, or take a relaxing bath in the most salty lakes on earth (only 16 km away from Sibiu).
