Lazy Crow & Co. Guesthouse

On the whole, Lazy Crow is a bright and cheery hostel. The staff are quite helpful and the rooms are clean. A simple breakfast is provided every morning and the kitchen amenities are wonderful. It's not located right in the city centre but the quiet neighborhood makes up for it.

Although the instructions on Lazy Crow's website are very clear, it is still confusing for the first-time traveler in Lisbon. Just make sure that once you get to Rato square, face the row of colorful shophouses, and turn right. There will be a small, quiet road on your left. This will be S. Bento street. Once you locate this street, the rest should be quite easy. For the traveler who has been around for the whole day, be prepared for a steep climb after you turn right and leave S. Bento.

Everything is still quite new in this hostel. The wooden bunk beds are clean and comfortable. No creaky and rusty metallic bed-frames and thin mattresses here. The free bedsheets they provide are also very clean. The rooms are well-lit day and night. However, do not leave the windows open during summer as the room can get scorching hot in the afternoon.

There is a cooking stove, microwave, fridge, and hot water in the kitchen available for all to use. Unfortunately, fellow hostellers sometimes leave their food around and apparently it doesn't get cleaned often.

There is only one computer that guests can use to surf the net, which can be quite inconvenient at times. You will also need to queue for the only two toilets there. Due to the heavy usage, the toilets can get a little dirty at times.

The staff does not voluntarily offer information. but when asked they do not mind helping at all. You can also leave your belongings with them even after check-out.
