This is one of the Strahov college campus dorm buildings that serve as hostels during the summer. They generally offer single and double bed rooms with a bathroom on each floor. The location is a tram ride plus a short bus ride plus a couple blocks walking from the main part of the city. There are a couple clubs on campus within a block or two of the hostel.

Cheap and cheerful I've stayed here several times. It's not in the centre but public transport is nearby. It's excellent value for money. The rooms are simple and clean. You can eat and drink the good Czech beer for little money in the student's restaurants and bars in the basements of the flat buildings. I'd recommend this hostel.

This is bargainsville with absoluteley no frills. Excellent if you are in the city for partying and need cheap lodgings. Myself and friends have used this place a few times and think it is great for that. Don't take a partner here if you are trying to capture the romance of the city.
