Descripción
The Youth Hostel of Volterra, which is a renovation of an ancient Franciscan Convent of the XV century, is found at the entrance of the city. Apart from the nature of its structure, which is ideal for relaxation and study, the Hostel is also situated in an optimum position from where one can easily connect to the major historical and artistic centers of Tuscany: one hour to Pisa, Florence, Siena and only 30 minutes to the seaside and San Gimignano. Without any architectural barriers, the Hostel is characterized in a particolar model, due to its wonderful internal Cloister, based on the designs of Michelazzo (sculptor and architect of Donatello workshop).
The Hostel consists of 23 bedrooms all very spacious and well-lighted, ample and illuminated dormitories in modern style. There are rooms with private bathroom,and rooms with bathoroom connected with another room. It is perfect for couples, families and groups..
Breakfast is served in the hall, or in the wonderful outside space.
Just 50 metres far from here, you can have lunch or dinner at the Hotel La Foresteria, at a very special price.
Please note that breakfast is included for all private rooms; as far as concerns dormitory rooms, breakfast is not included, but it costs 5 € per person per night.

Situated in a good position from where one can easily connect to the major historical and artistic centers of Tuscany: one hour to Pisa, Florence, Siena and 30 minutes to the seaside and San Gimignano. The Hostel is located in Poggio alle Croci, a quiet area just outside the city center of Volterra, very close to the famous Piazza dei Prioriand to the main museums.
