Auberge de Jeunesse - Les Camelias is clean, has friendly service, and has many rooms available. Breakfast is included in each night's fee, which consists of cereal, bread, milk, juice, and a variety of coffees. These French guys wouldn't short-change you on coffee. Bedrooms are equipped with shower and sinks, but toilets are located in the hallway and shared by everyone; however, they are some of the cleanest shared toilets you might find. Sheets are extra.

This hostel's interior is bright and cheerful. Large glass walls allow for plenty of sun for the common area. Hostellers are welcome to use the kitchen but are asked to help clean up after themselves.

It can be difficult to find this place because it is actually behind the main road instead of directly on it (as the tourist office will say). To get there from the train station, you head east a few blocks until you get to the main road. Turn right and head down for about 10 minutes. You will come to a mall on the left-hand side. Walk into and through it, exiting out the back. Continue straight past a one-way street. On the left-hand side is this auberge de jeunesse. Although this place can be tricky to find, it is in a great location, clean, and a decent price -- especially for Nice.

Can't fault it.
Pretty much nothing wrong with this place, and it is not very hard to find, as long as you where to look for it.

Best hostel I've seen!
This hostel is seriously the best hostel I've ever been to. It is really clean, really safe, it has the perfect location ever -- ten minutes from train station, ten minutes from the beach, it's reasonably priced, the staff is nice. They offer internet which is pretty expensive but there are a lot of cheaper internet cafes in the town. I strongly recommend this hostel to you!

This hostel was one of my favourites during my tour of europe last summer. It was nice and bright -- very cheerful! It had a kitchen, lockers. Everyone was very friendly, staff and visitors! I met many people here, and it resulted in some very interesting conversations. Laundry was decent. Rooms were pretty tight, but they were comfortable! Highly recommended!

This hostel is great! This is a big hostel, spotlessly clean. the staff is great and I met some great people there. Furthermore, the hostel is in the center of Nice, close to the beach, to the station, to the mall. well, Nice isn't big though, but this hostel really has a very good location. There is a quite big kitchen, lockers, hot shower, breakfast is fine. I recommend this hostel to everyone!

This hostel is both great and a little depressing. If you're traveling with friends, then I would say this hostel is perfect for you. It is very clean, great facilities including big kitchen, laundry room, internet, and breakfast. The staff is extremely helpful, I found. The bathrooms and showers are clean and some of the rooms on the upper floors have great views. However, being a lone traveler at the time, I found that every night, my roommates were always some exclusive group of friends traveling together. And the atmosphere downstairs isn't really too social. It's just a little too big. So, I was well fed, clean, and slept well, but didn't find my stay there to be really that memorable.

I think Anya, the young woman who works at the cafe, is wonderful and beautiful. She is sweet and intelligent, a true gem of a person. Anyone who goes to this hostel should try to meet her as she is an enlightened being. The hostel experience was great.

This hostel is well located. The dorms and other facilities are clean. However, there is no locker and few space to put your stuff. The breakfast which is included is good. The internet is too expensive. You must have a HI card to be able to stay in this hostel.

Stayed in the clean and friendly hostel in May 2006. A good breakfast (Cereal, Bread, Jam, Orange Juice, Tea/Coffee) is included in the price, there is also a bar open in the evenings till eleven p.m.. The Hostel is located ten minutes from the station and the beach just back from the main shopping street. The dorms are of a reasonable size and have a shower in them. The hostel provides an ideal location for exploring the near by cities of Cannes and Monaco.

in the summer 2005 i was at this place. here is my review: clean hostel, kitchen use for free with refrigirator and micro wave. it is possible to stay in the breakefast room for 24hours a day, where you can drink or eat what ever you want. also you can bye wine, beer, coke ane orangina at the bar in the hostel for moderate prices. of course its bad to get out of your room at 11 a.m. (for cleaning), but so you got enough time to visit the wonderfull beach and the city of nice. in each room is a seperate shower. the staff is very kindly and helpfull. 10 minutes to the beach and to the city. 20 minutes to the train station. Next casion supermarket (smaller supermaket) 3 minutes away and next mono prix supermarket (bigger supermarket), too. the tabac and press store is 10 minutes away, by foot of course. if you go to nice, go to that hostel, its great! sorry about my bad english. :-D

very nice place open 24/7 sounds like a small welcoming hostel therefore the capacity is huge. there is showers in each dorm and the bed sheets are provided for free. that's a nice place to meet good friends at the bar.

I stayed there for 6 nights and had a great time there. The rooms are clean, the hostel looks very modern. The location is also great, right in the city center, but in a side road, so that it is quiet at night.

Clean. Good facilities. Expensive Internet. Great breakfast; all you can eat baguettes and hot chocolate. :) The guy at the bar is quite rude, but I wouldn't hold that against the hostel! Great location. I would definitely recommend the place.

Crowdy, loud, lock-out. Rooms are overcharged ("stuffed") with 7 beds. Doors are loud and "clicky", in spite of been locked out there was no cleaning of the rooms. Some peple are not using sheets, so that you can slepp with dirty blankdets with hairs left all over from other people. The showers in the rooms are not really seperate, so that they are noisy..."

Good: clean, comfortable beds, suitable shower, safe, very welcoming staff, cheap supermarket near, close from beach and city center, small but useful kitchen. Bad: no lift, lockout at 11 a.m. (for cleaning).

I spent four nights there and had a fantastic time. Most of the staff were really helpful and gave me loads of tips on where to go. The facilities are clean and well kept. It's a great location and I drank in the bar till 4 a.m. on a few occasions. I definitely recommend it.
