Juneau International Hostel

The friendly staff gives Juneau International Hostel a reputation as a home away from home. Spend the evening swapping travel stories with people from all over the world. The first gold rush brought thousands of prospectors to Juneau, turning an area of mountains, forested valleys, and flatlands into the boom town that is now Alaska's capital. Examine the exhibits on native Alaskans, Russian settlements and mining at the Alaska State Museum. Enjoy plays given by the acclaimed Perseverance Theatre; Juneau Symphony concerts; and the annual Alaska Folk Festival! Hike trails beginning right outside the hostel's front door! The Mendenhall Glacier is a must as well as the luscious salmon bakes. Winter brings downhill and cross country skiing and ice skating.

The Juneau International Hostel is located in an historic home and is therefore a home away from home. It is alcohol and drug free. No shoes are worn inside the hostel. No pets allowed. Everyone is asked to do a small chore in order to keep the hostel clean. It is located six blocks from the waterfront, four blocks from the Capitol Bldg., and is near the beginning of several popular Juneau trails. The hostel has laundry facilities, bike rack and is handicap accessible.

We do take reservations online through our website, but one can not pay for the reservation online, therefore a check or money order must be sent via the mail.
