My Home Hostel has a couch futon bed plus two (2) rollout Foam futons (Japanese style) in a common room in a walkout basement with a complete kitchen and a bathroom with a shower. The bathroom is the only room in the walkout basement with a door. The Home Hostel has a separate entrance from my residence and office which are in the same building. There is no curfew.
Respectful behavior (including NO smoking, NO alcohol drinking, NO drug use) is appreciated. When coming in late to be as quiet as possible.
Iroquois Park, one of Louisville's Olmstead Parks (Olmstead designed Central Park in New York City), has a public riding stable. Shelby County, adjacent to Jefferson County, has many stables. There are many riding venues in area.
The Emily Boone Home Hostel fees are daily $10 (paid in cash US Currency) plus 20 minutes of chores (vacuuming, sweeping, dusting). Each guest provides their own sleep sheet and towels. I provide blankets.
The Louisville Area has both rain and snow. Snow usually stays on the streets for less than two days during our winter (December to mid-March).
To arrange entry, call Emily Boone at (502) 585-3430. I do not have a toll free number. Far ahead of time, I do not know my schedule for all of April. I usually retire by 10:30 PM and appreciate others being respectful of my sleeping time.

| Localización | In the Clifton Neighborhood two miles from downtown Louisville and the Galt House Hotel. There are three bus routes (all to downtown #19, #15, #31) within two blocks. The hostel is about 4 miles from the University of Louisville, 3 miles from the Greyhound Bus Terminal (#19 board heading east and deboard at Charlton and Payne which is one block from Pope Street), 5 miles from Churchilll Downs, 6 miles from the airport and the Kentucky Fairgrounds and Exposition Center (#2 bus then transfer to #19), and 4 miles from the Falls of the Ohio. Mammoth Cave is about a 2 hour drive away. |
