A REFRESHING OPTION for backpackers travelling through Granada. Located in a beautifully refurbished typically Andalusian building in the historic Jewish quarters, Posada de Colon gives the international traveller an opportunity to fully experience Granada from a unique perspective.

Situated within a few minutes walking distance from Plaza Nueva and Calle Elvira, you will have easy access to the fun city night life and the historic and mysterious Albayzin. Plus, at Posada de Colon, you sleep just a short distance from the city's internationally renowned architectural masterpiece - the Alhambra. If shopping is your soft spot, you'll be able to find the main shopping drag just next door in the new part of the city. But if adventurous activities are your bussiness we provide excursions to the mountains and hot springs, horse riding, canyoning, trekking, MTB and paragliding. In addition, we have a resevoir of information about Granada's current cultural events.

Our goal is to allow you to experience Granada in your own unique way. Whether you're traveling on your own or with a group of new or old friends, we offer the services and information specialized to your needs. With this in mind, Posada de Colon has a variety of accommodation options ranging from a girls only dorm room, shared mixed dorm rooms, doubles and private apartments for 3 or 4 people which include a kitchen with a refrigerator and a TV.

• We are located downtown, in Realejo - the ancient jewish quarter -, near the Alhambra, Plaza Nueva and Calle Elvira (tourist area), Albaizyn (the ancient moorish quarter), supermarkets, tourist office, post office, police precinct, parking lot, night life (irish pubs, jazz bars, tapa's bars, nightclubs etc), bus stops to train and bus stations and the airport.
• From bus station: bus number 3 or 33
• From the train station: bus number 3, 7, 9, 11 or 33
• From the airport: bus to the city
• Drop off at PUERTA REAL bus stop, cross the main street, pass by a fountain (on your left) and walk towards PLAZA MARIANA PINEDA, which is going to be on your right. Keep your way, take SAN MATÍAS STREET and walk two blocks. Then turn right at ROSARIO STREET and pass by the Hostal Costa Azul. At the next corner turn left at VARELA STREET. Walk another two blocks and you'll get to PLAZA CARLOS CANO. There, looking to the right, you'll see and OLD BUILDING WITH A GRAFFITTI on it. Walk in that direction. We are the next door to it. NUMBER 4, CRUELLAS. Estimated time of walking: 5 minutes.
• By car: on the A44 (also called Circunvalación or Road to Sierra Nevada) take EXIT 131, follow signs to PALACIO DE CONGRESOS, pass it by and keep following ahead until the end of the way. Then you'll have two options: left or right. Take the left and cross the river. Now turn left again and you're going to be at PASEO DE LA BOMBA. Next, turn right at CUESTA ESCORIAZA. At the end of that street, there's a house painted with graffitis. Follow the flux and you'll be at VISTILLAS DE LOS ANGELES street, keep going and you'll be at CALLE MOLINOS. At certain point you'll have to turn left (is the only way) and take CALLE SANTIAGO - At this point, if everything went well, you'll be very close to the hostel -. At the end of the street take a left and then again, the only way is to the left. Just follow that street, pass by the CHURCH OF SANTO DOMINGO (it has an statue in front of it). After it, as soon as you turn to the left you'll see a PARKING. From there, walk back to the church. In the middle of the way there's a STAIRWAY AT YOUR LEFT. Take it and walk to the square. Take the first to the left. FIND NUMBER 4. Welcome.
