We have 14 beds, including En-Suite, Double Twin and Dorm beds.
We have a configuration to suit everyone.
Our shared kitchen is fully equipped.
We have laundry facilities for guests.
The hostel is centrally heated and has a logfire.
Broadband Internet is free for guests.

Just one hours drive from Christchuch City and International Airport. • You'll find us on the In-land scenic highway (Route 72) • Our address is 44 Allen Street, Methven. • It's easy to find, and lots of free parking. • In Winter the village is buzzing with snowsport activity. • In summer guests come here to enjoy the variety of outdoor activities that are here on our doorstep: • HIKING & WALKING: • The Mount Somers Sub-Alpine Walkway; A two day hike only 15 minutes away from Alpenhorn. • The Rakaia Gorge Walkway; Jetboat up the gorge for only $25 per person, then hike back, it takes about 2 hours. • The Cameron Glacier Hike; A more challenging two day non-technical hike to a back country hut at the foot of a remote glacier. • The Methven Walkway; A delightful walk (Mountain bike) on flat terrain, that follows a canal through rural countryside. • FISHING • Trout & Salmon. • 4WD TOURS • Visit remote backcountry and high country stations. Or journey to Edoras (Lord of the Rings) Stay the night in a backcountry hut.
