Informe de Hostelz.com
Picasso's Corner Hostel is one of the best hostels we've seen for a while with a great vibe, despite still having a bit of construction work done at the time of writing. With a little more time to iron out some wrinkles it should be even better.

Picasso's is nicely located close to Malaga's La Plaza de la Merced, where the locals like to hang out with their own drinks until the early hours of the morning. You can get a bus on the 'circle' route (C1) from the main bus and rail station to near the Plaza. Most of the nightlife is a short walk or stumble away, although certain people have been known to pass out on the way home.

The beach is also around ten to fifteen minutes away once you've found the shortcut, although it might take you longer to find a free spot to sit or swim. A nicer beach is a short bus trip away, and the reception staff will be more than happy to help you find it. A supermarket and most of the main sights of Malaga (Picasso's museum, Cathedral, Alcazar) are within a short walk.

There is free internet (if you can wait long enough), free though fairly limited breakfast, and a free drink upon arrival. Facilities are clean and include a fairly well-equipped kitchen, a roof terrace, a lounge and bar area, and the nicest hostel bathrooms ever, with the best showers (described by one guest as “like showering in the future”). Dorm rooms are available with four or six beds, with free safes to store your valuables.

Most nights the staff cooks a meal such as paella, which is reasonable value with a drink included. While they sell drinks at the bar for a reasonable price, you are still welcome to bring your own. While you can get cheaper accommodation in Malaga, the extra expense at Picasso's corner is worth it for the convenience of location, free breakfast, and kitchen.

One of the best aspects of Picasso's corner is their flexibility when over-booked. They are quite happy to have people sleep on couches once rooms are full, or otherwise refer overflow guests to a nearby pension. This is great as it takes the pressure off booking well in advance, and even when there is no online availability it can be worthwhile calling or emailing the reception.

The best aspect of Picasso's corner however has to be its relaxed and friendly attitude, produced by its reasonable size and great staff. It's easy to get to love this place and many stay longer than they originally intended. Lets hope this hostel maintains its friendliness after it has been running for a while.

4 Good option
Although Malaga doesn't have a lot to see, this place is very close to main attractions. Very kind staff and a lot of information in the walls about the city and the towns near Malaga. The rooms are small, but they have all you need to feel safe -- a door with key, lockers, enough space for your backpack. The showers are correct. In the second floor the only bathroom is similar to a home bathroom (toilet, shower). The only problem is when someone is showering and closes, nobody can use the toilet, so sometimes you have to go downstairs to use the bar toilet. In the third floor there is a modern shower (hydrotherapy shower) that seems very fun.

5 Loved this place, the hostel and staff are the best.
This place is on my return list, I am coming straight back to Picassos Corner again, the staff were great, patient, friendly, and really cool. the hostel itself was excellent, clean, centrally located and near to the beach. the bar, terraces, and communal areas were all spot on. loved it so much I could stay forever, and all the cool people I met too.

1 This is not the place to go if you are young or young at heart.
The staff tried to steal over 600 euros from us. an awful place to stay for students who want to go out in the evening. No ping pong, rooms are cramped and hot, some of the staff are moody. There was literally defecation and sick everywhere. We eventually left and found another hostel it was so bad. Doors slamming from around 6 a.m.

5 Picasso's corner is really a second home. The people who work there do everything to make you happy. The beds, the showers, the breakfast are very good. And the location is great. Everything is on walking distance. The shops, the nightlife, transport (train, bus, taxi).

5 Seriously, the best staff ever. I stayed there for about three days in august, after endlessly looking for a place to stay. Nowhere was available because of Malaga's Feria that was going on. It was mayhem. i was totally rescued after someone forgot to pick me up. Picassos corner listened to my story, and totally took me in. I had the best time ever. So much fun, such great people. Kevan was totally cool even though i pissed him off a few times. Good times, defintely get there. Super central, and great service.

5 Oh my god -- all I can say is that i loved Picasso's corner so much I may well apply to work there next summer. Can you get much higher praise than that? The staff were amazingly friendly and helpful, the people we met were awesome, the rooms were nice and clean, and the kitchen and outdoor dining area were a hive of activity making it a really sociable place, not to mention the bar/common room area. I was lucky enough to spend my birthday at Picasso's in september and it was a nonstop forty-eight-hour party. Managed to wangle a free tequila shot and they even organised a birthday cake for me! If you're going to Malaga there's nowhere else to stay if you want a laid back social atmosphere that feels homely and comfortable at the same time.

5 I stayed at this hostel last week and had the best time ever! It started with a warm welcome by the excellent staff and ended with loads of fun with pretty much everyone staying there. If you want to meet great people, come to Picasso's Corner for sure! For the rest, the hostel will make you feel right at home. Flexible staff, no curfew (you get your own key), a lovely kitchen, luxurious bathroom, good beds, very clean, excellent location, and perfectly secure. That they've only just moved to their new building means there are still a few improvements needed, but believe me, you won't mind. If you're in Malaga, you know where to stay!

5 Having not been to their previous location, I cannot make any comparisons but I guess it will suffice to say that I was reluctant to leave this hostel when it came to the day to go. The new location is as prime as prime gets, and the staff is amazing! The TV area, bar, terrace and open air kitchen-seating make amazing opportunity for interaction with the fantastic people that this hostel attracts, which at the end of the day, makes or breaks the whole hostel experience. It even has an art corner that allows guests to put paintings/drawing/artwork up, which is at close as putting your handicraft up on the fridge when you were five! Being a new place, it is not devoid of small hiccups -- the internet and hot water sometimes fail, making an exceedingly cold morning. But hey, that's what makes it feel like home right?

4 I stayed in this hostel in October 2005 and it was my favorite of the Spanish hostels. It is incredibly friendly and I met people there that I ended up hanging out with even after I left Malaga! The beds were comfortable and the location is amazing! Right next to the best attractions and a short walk from the nightlife. My only problem was the showers - there was one amazing shower (which I didn't get to experience), but the others were all just curtained off stalls in the co-ed bathroom with no room to change or put your clothes. Also, the guy on the bunk next to and under me had bedbugs... not sure about that. My stay was great though.

5 A wonderful place! Ben and Pippa (and Sarah) made this hostel the best one I've stayed at in Spain. They were extremely welcoming and friendly and very helpful with information on Malaga and the area. Picasso's Corner has great atmosphere, central location, lovely decor (the fluffy duvets were a nice touch), and a spacious bathroom. I can't say enough about how much I enjoyed this place. Go to Malaga and stay there!

5 Definitely a great hostel. The managers are a very cool, professional couple from England. Super clean, quiet and safe. The location can't be beat. If you're looking to get some proper rest, but still be in a chilled party atmosphere, this place will do the trick. I would definitely stay there again.

5 Absolutely amazing. The owners Ben and Pippa make you feel like you are staying in their home. Very, very safe: they let out money, phone, put passports on the beds and they were 100% safe (but they have personal safes also). Brilliant atmosphere: I went out for the night with everyone in the hostel. Perfect location, comfy beds, and one of the best bathrooms I've ever seen with a roll top bath. I'm speechless — it was so good.

5 Great place, and the owners are so nice. The kitchen is great and everyone is always cooking and socializing. Don't know what else to say, besides that Malaga is a great place and this hostel made it even more amazing.
