Informe de Hostelz.com
Location, location, location. Cinema Hostel I (also known as Huéspedes Amanda) is literally in the heart of Madrid, amongst the hustle and bustle of Gran Vía. Only minutes from the metro station, this hostel offers a great location with comfortable rooms. If you can see beyond their supposed cinema theme, which is most evident in the movie posters and somewhat random cinema paraphernalia throughout the hostel, you´ll find the amenities quite nice and clean. Literally only a few minutes walk to Sol, the Plaza Mayor, and many other attractions, this hostel will provide any traveler with a place to sleep well (if you can swing a room whose windows face the courtyard) and explore the city.

The staff of the hostel is very accommodating -- they will help you with any of your needs and even have a computer in the lobby for internet use. Breakfast is served daily in the communal kitchen, which is usually just some toast and coffee. One of the best features of this hostel is that most rooms have their own common room with television to watch as much cinema as you can handle. Also, their rooms have at most four beds which allows for a more intimate feeling and better security. Madrid´s amazing metro system will drop you at the Gran Vía station which is only a few minutes walk to the hostel, which is on the first floor (not ground, one up from ground level).

Although there are not a ton of facilities in this hostel, it is still very comfortable. Some rooms have private bathrooms, but the best deals are obviously those with shared showers and toilets. The lobby is quite small and only fits their computer and couch for guests, but it has a quite homey feel. There are no lockers in the rooms to store your belongings, but there are closets provided which allows you to at least put some of your belongings away. As with most hostels in the center of Madrid, this hostel is located in a very old building with a decent amount of history. Some of the details around the rooms could use some updating, but it´s got a more historic feel than a dirty one. If you´re looking for a hostel that´s a great value and offers comfortable rooms in the heart of Madrid, this is definitely a hostel to consider.
