Informe de Hostelz.com
The best asset of this hostel is its location. It's very close to the King's Cross tube station (zone 1 in London), so it's within a short metro ride to anywhere. Journey's King's Cross fares quite well on the value scale as well--not too many options can be found in London for under 15 quid (or as little as 10 quid a day for longer term stays).

The hostel has all the basic amenities that the backpackers will expect, but it does lack somewhat in personality and social atmosphere. The rooms are comfortable, yet drab, the kitchen is too small, and showers are too few and lacking in privacy to accommodate all the guests comfortably. A typical hostel breakfast consisting of bread, butter, jam, and coffee is self-served every morning in the kitchen. There is a small TV lounge with internet, and another small lounge leading up to an open-air area, usually used by smokers. The small area of the lounges makes it somewhat difficult to socialize, which makes this hostel a bit boring.

In this overpriced city, you will learn that the phrase "you get what you pay for" rings true. But this hostel may not be a bad choice if you're looking to save a little cash.

Exceptionally poor
The stay at Journey's King's Cross Saint Pancras was a true horror. There were people masturbating, having sex all the time, and making an awful lot of disturbing noises. I'd recommend every living being to stay out of this stink hole, because the apocalypse has started in this place!

Location ok but nothing else
This hostel is just minutes away from Kings Cross so I suppose for just a one-night stay it would be great. That is the only positive comment I can put. I stayed in a eight-bed dorm room, but the room wasn't big enough to house eight beds. The person staying on Bed A had to climb over someone else's bed just to get to the top bunk. I'm almost certain it was also a fire hazard. The women's bathroom was a joke. It smelled really awful and only had a toilet for the entire floor. The women's showers were also bad. No privacy at all. The unisex bathrooms and showers had more privacy. The Kitchen was very small and outdated. Plus nobody staying or living out of the place knows how to wash plate so the sink is very smelly. The TV room has a couch and nowhere to sit. The staff was ok. The breakfast was also ok. I don't think I would come back unless they get a complete makeover.

Great
A real gem of a hostel, the dorm was very clean. It was great that they had all the pots and pans I needed for cooking. Staff very friendly, value for money. Recommended.

Well, this hostel was cheap, but nevertheless I would have expected a little more normality! To enumerate some of the unsatisfactory equipment -- the light was not working when we entered our room. there was no chair, no sink, and not even a socket in the room. the window leaked. the towels (which we had to pay for!) smelled ugly. in the morning, there was water coming from the ceiling out of a big crack which was surrounded by mould (when we wanted to inform somebody about that, nobody was at the reception, even though we rang the bell a hundred times). the showers had mostly no warm water. and the most disgusting thing was the kitchen! I don't mind if there is no big breakfast in the morning, but I absolutely did not want to have my butter out of a plastic box with hundreds of crumbs in it, I did not want to see the noodles of the day before in the sink, and I absolutely did not dare to eat from plates some unknown person ate from before and didn't do the self-wash-up properly! Sorry to say that, but that was the most unsatisfying hostel stay I had ever had.

The hostel is undergoing renovation at the moment, but nevertheless, it's absolutely abandoned! The communal areas haven't seem a broom/mop for ages, and the toilets are filthy! I'd recommend somewhere else to stay.

I had a great time at this Hostel. I came to london alone so I was abit nervous hoping that the hostel I had booked would be safe and hopefully fun and entertaining as well. I got exactly what I was looking for! The staff were super friendly, the Facilities were always keept clean! The was a great amount of cereals and toast and jam of all kinds for breakfast. and the Rooms were secure and safe as well! you have to put in a security code to get in the front door so people that arent staying there cant get in, and you need to put in a code to enter the dorm room as well. This made me feel very safe. The internet/TV room is very nice, internet is only 1 pound for 75 mins! there were lots of people from different places hanging out there at night, and the chill out room was nice too. They even have an outdoor smoking room, so the smell dosent bother people who dont smoke. All this and its litteraly only two mins walking form the tube station! I have nothing bad to say about this Hostel and when I come to stay in London again ill be staying at Journey's! Thanks to Emma, and Tony, and the rest of the friendly staff for making my stay a great one!

+ Good situation (5 min walk from King's Cross station and 5 min by underground to the center) + Cheap (adapted to low budget) + many bars, restaurants, fast foods and convenient stores around there + always crowded - dirty & old building (kitchen, chilling room ... but the room was clean which is the most important for me) - the rooms are non smoking, drinking and eating !(these are the rules but ...)

Not much going on with service for this hotel, but fantastic price and location. Maybe two blocks from Underground station; there are tons of bars and restaurants and an actual supermarket right nearby. Average-small sized rooms (fairly clean), but the lounge/TV room is tiny. The computers for the Internet were only partially working and antiquated. Much of the place is fairly old and dingy, and staff are pretty unhelpful. The room was clean, the bathroom adequate. So if you want a fairly cheap place with a great location, this is it. But don't expect anything real nice. Oh, and most of population there seemed to be just out of high school or college.

The room was VERY small, and TOO hot! The kitchen was frightful, dirty and submerged with the foods left by previous guests. Aaah!
