Informe de Hostelz.com
The YHA central hostel is just a two minute walk from the central train station. It's conveniently located and it's a short walk to or from almost everywhere in the city. The hostel is on Rawson Place, close to George Street. To get to the hostel from the train station, exit to Eddie Avenue, turn left to Hay Street, and then left again to George Street. You will see a big red building with a big YHA sign on it.

This hostel is a very big one, so it lacks that little personal touch. But it makes up for it with great facilities. The hostel has a central common room on the first floor, and a lounge area on each of the other floors. On every floor there are central showers and toilets, one for men and one for women. There are a total of eight floors and the top floor contains a pool. Overall, the hostel looks nice. It's in great shape and is very clean.

Each room has four, six, or eight beds. And in each room are lockers (one locker per bed), personal bed lights, and a mirror. There's a TV in every lounge (one per floor) and also in the central common area on the first floor.

Sydney Central YHA is not cheap. But it is sure very conveniently located and it's a nice comfortable place to stay.

Excellent place! Fantastic facilities, everthing is clean and neat and tidy. It's a bit expensive, but it's definitely worth it. Nothing more to say!

Expensive it might be, but it's well worth it. Staff were great, facilities exceptional. Definitely one of the best hostels we stayed in, during our travels.

This is a great hostel! Yes, it's expensive but its location certainly makes up for this. The bus stop and train station is right across the road and it's about a 20-minute walk down the harbor. During my stay the bathrooms and kitchens were really clean, even though the hostel was full! I met loads of people here and I recommended it throughout my travels around Australia.

This place is excellent. Clean and sparkly, safe, really friendly staff. It's got everything you could want from a hostel. I stayed for two weeks and could have happily stayed for two months.

Fabulous. I made some great mates here. It's clean and the staff are friendly. You feel safe staying there. There are activities planned for every day if you want to meet new people. I could quite happily have stayed there forever.

This is a fantastic hostel, well worth paying that little bit extra for. It's clean, has friendly staff and excellent facilities. It's in a perfect location, five minutes from CBD [Central Business district] and two minutes from the Central Railway Station. Scubar is great, if not a bit crowded on a Monday night (crab racing). There are a lot of old people there, and the size of the place can make it a bit difficult to meet people, but all in all, it's very friendly. Rooms are of a good size (not ten beds in a four-bed room). I highly recommend it. Don't get too excited when you read about the pool!

Very nice hostel. It's a bit expensive, hence only 4 stars (you get what you pay for — not *more* than what you pay for). I would absolutely recommend this place. It's within reach of the airport, too, and the city center is within walking distance (it's a 10 to 20-minute walk from the hostel to most of the attractions).

This hostel was overwhelming! The kitchens were fantastic because they were fully furnished with pots and pans and all you could imagine. The lounge area was great for us to sit down in peace. Each level had its own TV room and that was good because we could watch our favorite TV programs. The toilet facilities were keep well-cleaned and comfortable to use. The pool was well maintained and the sauna was, too. The view from the top while sitting in the pool was lovely. So overall we had a lovely stay there and the staff were very helpful. Many thanks to them and the cleaners!

Yes it's big but it's a great hostel. It's very clean and equipped with everything you need. The rooms are spacious and the bathrooms spotless. It has excellent security and it's in a perfect location to explore Sydney from. It's one of the best hostels in Oz.

Perfect location, perfect staff, perfect rooms. Breakfast is not included; I understand they have a lot of rooms, but for that price I think it should be included.

Clean, cozy, great location, and seems overrun with old people staying there--fifty plus, you know! Going up to the roof for a ciggie was nice, but when they boast a "swimming pool" they really mean a big bath. But I really enjoyed my stay here. The staff were great, too. Ahhhh, YHA, you've done it again.

I've been here more than a couple of times. Single, twin, or dorms are all of good size. The kitchen and dining areas are very good as well.

The perfect place to stay. Everything is very clean. It has a fantastic kitchen and dining area, and free movies and popcorn in the dvd-lounge. The view from the rooftop is great and it's central to everthing.

YHA Sydney is just awesome. It's large, conveniently located next to Central Station, clean, well-laid-out, and has good amenities. But it's the thoughtful touches that make all the difference. The decorations, murals, and themes. There's a corner of the communal dining room laid out to accommodate Japanese-style meals--how often do you see that? I've stayed here several times and look forward to returning again and again!

This hostel is one of the best I've ever been to! I stayed here for 6 nights in a private room with my friend. Although the cost was a bit pricey, the location and clean facilities made up for that. You certainly got what you payed for! The staff were really helpful and friendly. I couldn't have asked for a better stay! If you're planning a week in Sydney and need a close, really nice place to stay, then go here. It's certainly worth your while. It rocks!!!
