Descripción
Mdumbi beach was voted best beach in Southern Africa by Getaway magazine. It is a safe beach for swimming and all kinds of water sports and has a registered boat launch sight. The Mdumbi river mouths into the ocean through a huge estuary that is rich in sea life and has a mangrove forest.
Mdumbi Backpackers is situated on a hill over looking Mdumbi beach. Its is part of Thsani village, a rural Xhosa community. The backpackers is involved in many projects within the community.
Accommodation is available in traditionaly build Xhosa rondavels. There is a cumunal kitchen, toilets, hot showers and a cafe restaurant on the premisis.
