Glyncornel Environmental Centre is far from the city centre, unless you have your own car or travel with group bus, or else travelling to this place will be quite a painful thing. It is located on the hill, inside a small wood. It's good for schools who want to show their pupils the nature and have some activities there, but might be not that convenient for backpackers who travel through public transportation to this place, and will be a little bit too far to the tourist spot.
Besides the location issue, it provides very great breakfast with lots of choices. Even vegetarians can easily find great, hot breakfast here. It also provides a picnic area where people could enjoy their own time outside. The place is quiet and good for enjoying the tranquil time. But since it is far from centre, so do not expect to have nightlife here. There is TV and sofa in common room on the ground floor where people can spend the night.
The staff are nice and will provide some information. The rooms are ok, there are bunk beds for four people and two ordinary beds in the room of six people, but the sheet looks a little old. They provide hangers and a place to put your bags in the room. There are separate bathrooms and toilet for males and females. But it might be not that clean. They have hot water all the time for shower -- very convenient. If somebody wants to cook on their own, there is a kitchen you can use. They are clean and tidy. Overall, it's a nice place to stay.
