HI - Bad Kissingen Hostel

Our hostel is located in the old and wellknown spa-bath of Bad Kissingen. The KissSalis Therme (spa) is one of the highlights of Bad Kissingen, just a few minutes walk away from the hostel. A place to relaxe!

Bad Kissingen is a town with lots of parks around, the river Saale (where you can cruise with a ship in summertime. Bad Kissingen is located 50km north of Würzburg, 70km south of Fulda, 100km west of Frankfurt and about 80km east of Bamberg in the northern bavarian region called Rhön.

There are trains going to Bad Kissingen Bahnhof (railwaystation) from direction Würzburg and Schweinfurt.
The youthhostel, called the HEILIGENHOF, is sourrounded by fields and forests (5km hikes through a forest until you reach the next village - so there is lots of nature and silence. But if you like to see the small old part of Bad Kissingen, it´s just a 20 minutes walk through fields and parks.

There are dorms, 3-Bed-, double- and singlerooms available. There is an extra charge of 3,00 Euro for doublerooms (each) an 6,00 Euro for singlerooms that is added on the bottom price. If you like to have your own bath room there is an extra fee to add (6,00 Euro), and if you are older than 27 years old another 4,00 Euro will be added (because it´s a YOUTH-hostel..., but anyway: everybody is very welcome).

Please make a reservation. The staff speaks enough english, so that they can give you at least directions.

Jane Heywood wrote "I visited Bad Kissingen in 2007 and it became one of my favorite Youth Hostels." There is nothing to say about that.

If you like to see a small town with a long history, where kings from almost everywhere came to visit the spa bath in the 19th century (there is still a Casino in Bad Kissingen!!) it´s a good choice to visit Bad Kissingen.
