Please come to Ayr Backpackers and Wilmington House and enjoy your stay with a typical Australian family who generally care about backpackers. We are the well regarded working backpackers hostel of the Burdekin District. We offer quiet and safe, clean dormitory accommodation in our two Queenslander style hostels set amongst lush tropical gardens, yet only a five minute walk to the centre of town or a two minute walk to Coles Supermarket.
We have two tv/video rooms with a collection of free videos to use as well as books to read. We have free boadgames, table tennis and snooker tables as well as a collection of balls to use on the grass volleyball court or with the basketball hoop.
We have brand new fast internet cafe as well as wireless connections. We offer 5 full kitchens and 6 bathrooms, lockers and luggage storage.
Our main aim is to provide those backpackers with valid working visas a paid position in one of the local farms or businesses so the backpacker can earn money for further travels or to apply for the second working holiday visa.

| Localización | •Ayr is a very modern, compact country town that is easy to get around by foot. Our hostel is situated in a quiet street, three blocks back from the main drag, yet only 2mins walk to Coles and 5 mins walk to Woolworths. All variety shops, banks, hotels, cinemas, restaurants, post offices and discount stores are accessible by foot. • We are a short walk from the bus stop, though we do offer free pickup and delivery from the bus stop and the train station as we understand how heavy those backpacks really get. |
