Informe de Hostelz.com
A long time ago, Bling Bling was the pioneer backpacker hostel in Krakow. It was a breath of fresh air from the horrid accommodations and screaming groups of schoolchildren you would encounter in the YHA hostels there. However, the American founding fathers of Bling Bling have gone, leaving it under new management and what made Bling Bling unique went with them. In any other city, this hostel would be all right, perhaps even fine, but in Krakow, it compares very poorly with the other choices. The hostel is a good choice for late night arrivals. It is close to the train station (about a ten-minute walk or short, inexpensive cab ride) -- located on Pedzichow 7.

Rooms are typical if not uninspired. The bunk beds are wooden, solid, and don't squeak. However, the mattresses have seen better days -- they are worn down and dingy. The great thing about the rooms is that there is a plethora of electrical outlets. While this sounds trivial, try charging your mobile phone in a ten-bed dorm room, when there is only one outlet.

Bathrooms are all right, but could use a regular cleaning and a refill of toilet paper. Kitchen has a dining table and a cooking area for self-catering backpackers. In an interesting twist, the hostel outsources its breakfast service to a restaurant next door called "Eton." You have to question that choice. While there is nothing particularly wrong with the quality of breakfast (standard hostel fare -- toast, butter, jam, spam, cheese, corn flakes, and bad coffee), there is a shortage of clean dishes and most of the times a shortage of food items as well. You should not have to wait to eat toast.

This is a small hostel with just over thirty bed spaces. Whether it is social or not will entirely depend on the people staying there, but the small common room with a lonely computer station in the full view of the reception does not really encourage social behavior. Just head out on the town.

3 No real complaints about this place, apart from the severe lack of bathrooms (and subsequent queues every morning -- not good when you have to dash for your early morning pee). Good location, habitable beds, clean, reasonably priced, everything you need. However, harsh it may be, I'm only rating this place as average because I feel that there are better options out there. The atmosphere was good and I met some cool people, but I think it really depends on who's staying there because the staff didn't really encourage any social activity. You can book tours here, which is a plus, yet there is nothing else that really makes the hostel stand out. Overall, a good time was had here, but I think I'll choose somewhere with a bit more character if I ever visit Krakow again.

1 This place is really bad. Don't go there. The photos are false -- it's a dump. There are lots of other hostels in beautiful Krakow.

2 This hostel looked a bit posh inside with wood flooring and classy lighting but it was a bit boring. There wasn't really an atmosphere. There weren't any cooking facilities. There was free Internet and a good Continental breakfast. It is like a low budget hotel, very quiet and good for sleep, but the common area was unused. It would be good if you weren't really up for meeting anyone. The location wasn't a problem at all. There are loads of trams that go down the road near by and it's a 10-minute walk to the old town square. The reception staff were nice and friendly.

4 Very easygoing hostel with a perfect crew. The place is cozy and you feel at home in three seconds. I advised them to make a sign in the lobby of the building so you don't walk to the neighbors upstairs. Just go to this place if you want to see Krakow and Auschwitz. And forget about the salt mine. It takes two hours and it is so-so. I had a great time there and it was bling-bling. Life is a dream.

4 Very good location, very, very clean, very nice staff, and great bathrooms and kitchen. I liked it very much! It was a pleasure to spend my stay in Krakow in this hostel! I'll come again, for sure!

4 This hostel is great! It lacked cooking facilities but made up for that in other areas. The staff were really helpful, there's 24-hour reception, free internet access, and free washing facilities. It's quite small but it's a great place to meet people. And it's only 10 minutes from the train station and 10 from the square. Everything you could possibly need is withing walking distance.

4 This hostel is not located in a bad part of town. It's five minutes from the old town square. This hostel was fabulous, chock-full of great people and helpful staff. The only downside was the lack of some kitchen facilities.

3 This hostel was not terrible, but not amazing. The kitchen lacked a lot of necessary equipment for cooking (i.e. stove, oven, microwave). There are only two bathrooms, so the morning routine takes a long time if the hostel is full. Free Internet and good staff were a plus.

2 I stayed there for 2 nights before leaving. The bathrooms are nice but location is really bad. The hostel is located in a very bad part of town, and as a single girl travelling alone I was afraid to walk to the hostel at night!

5 The owners are legends!! The place is really modern and the lounge is cool. They give excellent advice and made our stay generally better. The only hostel to stay in in Krakow. It was more like a mate's house than a hostel.
