3   Average at best Wi-Fi access was only available in the reception/cafe, not in any of the bedrooms. There was city-wide Wi-Fi (not free) but the signal to that dropped about 3 minutes walk from the hostel. There were no power sockets next to the beds. It was £20 per night but it included breakfast (06:30 to 09:00) and you got about £1.50 back when you left the hostel.  , age 28, United Kingdom ()
3   Clean, efficient and great value but lacks travel vibe This hostel is more like a hotel. It is clean and very efficiently run by the staff and offers a great value in a generally expensive city. It has an awesome breakfast buffet. It is in a great location offering an easy walk to most everything you would want to see in the city. It is very institutional and feels like a hotel. It does not have a travelers vibe and the front desk staff really do not interact with travelers except for checking them in. It would be great if they had someone that organized events for travelers and encouraged people to interact. Perhaps they do more of this in the summer season. The restaurant in the hostel has really good food at a great price. As long as there are no Stag or Doe parties which they do allow it is pretty quiet.  , age 41, USA ()
4   Nice to stay we stayed there only for one night. everything is very clean and tidy. the breakfast was great! But there is no hostel atmosphere. nevertheless I would stay there again!  , Switzerland ()
3   You've seen it all before it's a normal HI. the en-suite rooms were clean, security was tight, it has no kitchen, an expensive bar/cafe, and average breakfast. the location is perfect for sightseeing and going around the old town, take the bus from the train station. it's nothing special and if this city had another hostel (an independent one), i'd probably stay there.  , Canada ()
4   Modern with a good atmosphere The staff were a little flustered because some guest was complaining that they didn't speak spanish at a hosteling international place! Seeing as these guys spoke french, german, english, letzebuergsch, and in some cases, dutch and italian this seemed a little silly and this guy would have a fit if he went to the U.K. or Australia! Breakfast was good, room was clean, good bathroom, very modern. Security was good with key card access. Bit of a walk to station, but the area is nice to walk around. Recommend it.  , Australian ()
4   A nice hostel with a few drawbacks Clean, modern rooms. Motion sensor lights in the bathroom would turn off at inconvenient times though. Great, big breakfast. Terrible laundry facilities -- the dryer refused to dry our clothes after almost two hours. Very expensive Internet, too. Overall, a nice hostel with a few drawbacks.  , Canadian ()
3  As already said by others, it is large, very clean, and safe (chip card lockers for each room), the people at the reception are reliable, therefore no complaint. And it is the only hostel in Luxembourg city, located centrally to the tourist features, therefore there is no (payable) alternative, and sometimes it may be booked out due to larger groups. However, I have known this hostel before they have renovated it some years ago, therefore I was a bit disappointed. It definitely had more charm and was cosier before, though not as modern as now. And in former times there was a self-catering kitchen downstairs that does no longer exist. The restaurant is rather expensive, so better go out for some pubs nearby (in Clausen, just a few minutes walk).  , German ()
1  The worst hostel I have ever been to. We stayed two nights. The first one was very uncomfortable because of the heat. No possibility to open the windows more than some inches, and although they apparently had unlocked other windows, they told us that it was forbidden to unlock our window. When we came back the second day at about eleven p.m., we found our room occupied by other people. The staff had just taken our luggage out of the room and down to the reception and when we were complaining very loud, they just said that it had to be done to give the other six people a room together (we were three travelling together). As we could not believe such a terrible behaviour, we tried to make clear that we were not willing to accept this, but their excuses just went worse; they could have told us, as they said, if we had been there at that time, but as we apparently were away (from eight to eleven p.m.), they had to do it like that, and so on. At least, they gave us one beer each (of this lousy Bofferding) in the end, as we were really upset. Although the hostel was very clean and the breakfast huge, the really unfriendly staff makes it the worst hostel I have ever been to.  ()
