Informe de Hostelz.com
Getting to Sunrock would be difficult to do on your own. Luckily, they have a van, and will meet you at the dock provided you tell them when you are arriving. The hostel is located on Pelekas beach, across the island about fifteen minutes from Corfu town.

Simply put, Sunrock is one of the nicest hostels we have ever stayed at. We went in early April, so it was still low season, and there were a half-dozen guests at most, plus the student workers. They were still getting cleaned up and ready for the summer, so facilities during high-season might improve on what we experienced. Sunrock is a good-sized hostel, and can hold close to two hundred people at maximum capacity. However, far from the typical bed factory, it is run by a beautiful Greek family -- all of whom are committed to making a personal impact on your stay.

In terms of facilities, Sunrock is average. The rooms are clean, but not spotless. The showers consist of a drain and a shower hose, and the hot water can be spotty at times. There is a well-stocked bar, and though there is no public kitchen, home-cooked meals are available for a nominal fee at any time during the day. There is one computer with internet access, but it is dial-up, and long-distance, so you will pay a bit. They have a small shop, which stocks beach neccessities and things you might have left at home.

Because Sunrock is so far from town, they really go out of their way to make their offerings comprehensive. The cook you two meals a day for free, and these are excellent. They also offer regular rides into town, so you can go shopping or sightseeing. The advantage of being remote is that they have incredible surroundings, and a beach that is shared among a small number of establishments. The view off the sundeck is incredible.

What really makes Sunrock stand out is the atmosphere. The host family is extraordinarily friendly, and you will fall in love with them. Don't let Magda's brusque exterior fool you; she's a big softie. You'll get to know your fellow occupants over family-style dinners, and jam sessions on the sundeck. Really, Sunrock is less of a hostel, and more of a low-budget resort with a lot more intimacy than most five-star resorts. It seems that it's not unusual for someone to go there intending to stay a few days, and end up staying a few weeks or even months. In short, if you're going to Corfu, don't miss this place.
