It's really worth making an effor tto visit this city, not least for the famous music and club scene. Though almost completely destroyed in WWII, Cologne was quickly rebuilt, and many of it's old churches and monuments have been meticulously restored. Cologne central station is the most important railway station in Germany today, trains running directly to Amsterdam (2,5h), Paris (4h), Berlin (4,5h), Prague (8h), Munich (5,5h). Cologne airport is the new hub for budget airlines with one-way flights from 20,- € to Berlin, London, Madrid, Barcelona, Milan, Venice, Rome, Naples, Vienna and Paris.
