At Melbourne International Backpackers, we offer 3, 4, 6 and 10 Bed dormitories all with shared bathroom facilities. Female dorms are available in our 4 and 6 bed dormitories. All guests have 24-hour access to the hostel and there are no curfews.
Our rooms: Every room has individual security lockers, fan, secure card entry, linen, pillows and blankets provided. Towels are also available for hire.
Our property: is complete with a TV room with a great selection of the latest movies. A reading room, large common area and fully equipped kitchen with walk-in cool room, open to use 24 hours a day. We also have an internet kiosk with wireless internet, mail, faxing and printing services as well as washing, drying and ironing facilities.
Our Bar: The Loading Dock is our amazing new bar on the ground level that speaks of what Melbourne city is really all about. With a mix of colorful and industrial elements, it makes it a fun way to spend the night after a full day of exploring the city. Free bar events include, pool competition, trivia nights, stand up comedy and karaoke.

Airport: (Tullamarine airport)
VHA airport shuttle: Picks up at the airport and drops off at our hostel front door, mention Melbourne International Backpackers at the time of ticket purchase to get the special price of $18 one way. To pre book tickets email bookings@vhaairportshuttle.com.au or call 03 8566 8525. No booking? No worries proceed to the authorized GROUPS and CHARTERED bus pickup zone marked L to M that is immediately 2 pedestrian crossings directly after exiting the Terminal 2. doors. The L an M zone is located at the forecourt of Tullamarine Airport so if you arrive at Tiger Airways Terminal, Terminal 1 or Terminal 3 head in the direction of Terminal 2 then follow the above directions.
Skybus shuttle bus service, operating 24 hours a day, picks up from out the front of each terminal and will drop you off at Southern Cross Station Ticket will cost $18.00.
Airport: (Avalon Airport) Sita Couches operates a shuttle service between Avalon Airport and Southern Cross Station in Melbourne City. It meets all arriving and departing major flights. Tickets cost $22.

Tram - take tram number 86 or 96 up Bourke Street and then change to any northbound tram along Elizabeth Street.
Train: Take any City Loop Train to Melbourne Central Station and exit to Elizabeth St. We are a short walk two blocks northbound up Elizabeth Street and are located on the Corner of Franklin Street.
Taxi: from the airport will cost approximately $50 - $70

Please note our cancellation policy: Cancel by 1pm the day before arrival, failure to do so will result in the credit card use to secure the booking been charged 1 night at the daily rate per person booked.
