Bocas Bound on Isla Bastimentos (at Red Frog Beach)

• When coming into Bocas ask to go to the Red Frog Express dock which is located next to the Reef Restaurant. There you can catch a water taxi to the Island of Bastimentos.
• From Red Frog Marina we have a driver that can take you up to Bocas Bound which is less than 10 minutes walking and the beach is 8 minutes.
• From San Jose Costa Rica Airport
• 1. Taxi ride from airport to bus station ($10-$15 per person)
• Bus Ride from San Jose to Puerto Viejo ($8)
• Stay the night at Rockin J's for the night in Puerto Viejo ($7)
• Take bus from Puerto Viejo to border town of Sixola ($3)
• Taxi ride to seaside town of Almirante ($10)
• Catch the water taxi to Bocas ($4)
• Catch water taxi to Bocas Bound on Bastimentos ($5)
• 2. You can fly Monday, Wednesday, Friday directly from San Jose into Bocas: www.natureair.com
• From Puerto Viejo
• 1. Take Bocas Shuttle ($28)
• 2. Take bus from Puerto Viejo to border town of Sixola ($3)
• Taxi ride to seaside town of Almirante ($10)
• Catch the water taxi to Bocas ($4)
• Catch water taxi to Bocas Bound on Bastimentos ($5)
• From Panama City
• 1. Can take a domestic flight: www.flyairpanama.com and www.aeroperlas.com ($80)
• 2. Bus ride takes approximately 8.5 hours and the cost is approximately $20. Bus departs from Gran Terminal Nacional de Transporte near Albrook Airport (tel: 507-232-5803). From Almirante, you will need to take the water taxi to Bocas.
