Three Gables B&B Ireland Reviews

Description

Three Gables Bed and Breakfast is a charming country cottage dating back to the 1800s. It sits on an acre of private grounds, in a rural location with open views in all directions, and is close to many major routes and famous tourist attractions.

Three Gables Bed and Breakfast is located on the scenic Estuary Drive, on the southern coastline of the Shannon Estuary. It is between the towns of Askeaton and Foynes, and also close to North Kerry and the city of Limerick. The Wild Atlantic Way, Ireland's first long-distance touring route which runs along the whole Atlantic coast of Ireland, is only a few kilometres away.

Three Gables Bed and Breakfast offers the friendly welcome and hospitality for which Ireland is famous, and has much more besides. Accommodation comprises two charming and comfortable bedrooms, each with en-suite facilities, satellite TV and Wi-Fi. Our breakfast menu should satisfy all tastes and even the heartiest of appetites. Choose any combination of the following - Full Irish Breakfast, generous Continental Breakfast, Buffet Breakfast, and alternative or lighter options. We use locally sourced produce wherever and whenever possible.

Guests can make use of the grounds at all times. There are several seating areas, a garden, lawns, a rockery, and a south-facing patio. Feel free to wander, sit and relax as you please. We are happy to offer drinks and snacks, and to chat with guests. We can also give help and advice for things to do, places to see, eating out, or anything else you may need during your stay.

There are many tourist attractions and places to visit in the immediate locality and further afield. The area is very popular for walking, cycling, fishing and angling. There is good access to major routes, making it easy to plan a touring holiday. Shannon airport and Kerry airport are only a short drive away. We can recommend a local taxi and mini-bus service that offers both local transport and an airport shuttle service.

Please note that there are no hidden charges, and ALL of the following are included in the advertised price:
On-site parking (including secure garage parking for cars and bikes); 24 hour access to rooms (no curfew); full breakfast, snacks and drinks; evening meals (please enquire); tea, coffee and biscuits in the rooms; satellite TV in the rooms; en-suite facilities with shower; bed linen, towels, soap, shower gel, shampoo, hair dryer; daily housekeeping service (no cleaning fees); laundry service (please enquire); Wi-fi; bicycle hire, including safety wear.

If you have any questions, or if you require any further information, please feel free to contact us by e-mail or by telephone.

We recommend the following places to visit:

There is a post office, a cafe, a bar which also serves food, local shops, a swimming pool and fitness centre, a bank, a medical centre, and a supermarket. Call at the Tourist Information Centre for guided tours of the town, including Askeaton Castle and the Franciscan Friary.
Knockpatrick Gardens, near Foynes, is within walking or cycling distance. 3 acres of beautiful mature gardens, and breathtaking views of surrounding countryside, make an enjoyable visit.

Foynes was a stop-over for transatlantic flights in the early days of aviation, and is now home to the famous Flying Boat and Maritime Museum. There are shops, bars, and places to eat. Foynes is also part of the Wild Atlantic Way, and you can join the route here.
Curraghchase Forest Park is a woodland estate with lakes, which surrounds the 18th century Curraghchase House. It is a popular walking, cycling and picnic location.

Traditional thatched roofs can be seen on many of the buildings in the main street. There are bars, shops and restaurants. Bleach Lough is a lake which is popular for fishing and angling. The area is stocked with trout, salmon, pike and rudd. Fishing licenses can be purchased for the day.
