Dar el Khamlia is Guest House - private traditional and authentic house in Erg Chebbi in Morocco, 7 km from Merzouga, in one edge of the village with view over sand dunes and the village. It offers hospitality and serene home, the perfect place for the ones who does not want many tourists around and want to be near the local people.
The rooms are in typical Berber stile with double bed (possibility extra bed). There is the fan when it is warm and stove when it is cold. The bathroom is with hot shower and toilet. From window is nice view over the desert. Rooms are cleaned daily.
We serve Berber food - tajine, couscous and other delicacy as Medfouna (Berber pizza cooked in the sand). Moroccan breakfast. We offer half board or full board.
We can arrange for you even camel trek into the sand dunes with overnight in Berber tent, or only 2 hours camel trek to watch sunrise/sunset. You can take with us excursion by 4x4 around the sand dunes, to visit a nomad family, mineral mines, fossils and many other interesting places to see.

Location
• From Rissani you go on the road to Merzouga. When you arrive at a crossroads where one road turns to left to Merzouga, other road goes right against Taouz, so you take this road against Taouz. To Khamlia then it is about 7 km. You can also send SMS to Brahim and he can meet you there on the crossroads.
• When you come to Khamlia from Merzouga, you see a little tower on your right site. You turn of the road, past the tower as you see on attached little map. You go on the piste and after about 500m you come to some houses and find Dar el Khamlia.
• Please, let us know how you will come to us. If you are going by bus we can pick up you in Merzouga on the bus station (free of charge) or Rissani (20EUR).
