"The best thing about Hostel El Español is that it is easy to find. The worst thing is that it is very cold in the colder months and this certainly hinders most social activities that could possibly result. This means that the hostel is also quite quiet and a little boring. The Location The hostel is easy to find -- it is a very short walk from the bus station and ferry ports. "This is a lovely, quiet hostel, with a friendly, helpful staff. It is located close to the ferry, good restaurants and shops. The rooms were clean and large. We borrowed the bicycles for a quick ride to the older section of town. This is a great secret get-away, so don't tell anyone!" … "I really liked this hostel. Clean, cheap, and in a great location. "Hostel El Sol is a friendly, quiet, and traditional Uruguayan establishment. While the staff generally doesn't speak English, they are eager to help and to overcome any language barriers.
