The female dorms are located above the main hostel building off Carondelet Street and the male dorms are located behind in adjacent mini buildings, where there are four to six dorm beds downstairs and the same number upstairs.

The Bayou &..."![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() "Fun, friendly, relaxed - I loved this hostel. stayed four nights, and needed another. i mean the city is fantastic, and there is so much to do and see. The manager reese is a hero, very cool, and was always willing to help. even with some of the more difficult guests he was always composed and was always courteous. Nice relaxed patio area, pancake breakfast, clean rooms, air conditioning, fully equipped kitchen, Cant recommend it enough. Go there and have fun."

"Located in a neighborhood full of local, black people, this hostel is a modest walking distance from the French Quarter. We paid $50 for a private room that was over-priced by about a couple of bucks because of the missing TV remote, shared bathrooms, fees for toilet paper and towels, and a darkly-lit corridor leading to our room. We were there for three nights...
