Glenwood Springs Reisetipps & Hinweise

This place is awesome. — Anonymous
Glenwood itself is ok. There are outdoorsy things to do, a cool rec center, some natural foods stores, sport shops, the Colorado River, and some hot springs places. Frankly, even despite that cool stuff it somehow manages to have a cheesy feel. You sense the presence of low-living locals and possibly illegal immigrants (there was a big cocaine and prostitution ring uncovered here recently). The hot springs is worth checking out but definitely a commercial place that lacks the character it probably once had back in the day. The crowd is pretty vanilla. There is also a semi-interesting public hot spring at the south canyon exit off route 70 where you don't pay a dime and don't need clothing -- it's a more natural experience. — Anonymous
Glenwood is wonderful. — MBF
It is set in a stunning environment with limitless outdoor activities all year long. — Will
This is a great spot to stay -- cheap, clean, and with easy access to activities. — KP
Stayed in Glenwood Springs in 1999! Went there for a 10 day ski trip and stayed 4 months. What an awsome spot. So much to see and do. Plenty of outdoor life, skiing in winter, mountain biking, hiking, frisbee golf in summer. The Glenwood Springs Hostel is great with all the assistance you need and a wonderful atmosphere. A definate hotspot! — Lynne
