"Make sure you book early if you want what you are looking for, I though I was early (six weeks before) and wanted to book a double room. Was a bit late and ended up with a twin room. Still though, the room was spotless and came with free towels, and after moving the beds together we had a king sized bed. Kitchen, dining room, and lounge areas are great and spacious. Toilets and showers must be among the best ones we've encountered, and there are lots of them as well. The scenery is what makes this place though, where else are you surrounded... more »

Milford Sound Reisetipps & Hinweise

We were lucky and had great weather the whole time we were in Te Anau and Milford Sound. We were able to see the mountains, and it was something very special to be in the Tasman Sea looking back at the west coast of New Zealand. If you can stay overnight in Milford Sound, do it. I felt like we didn't have enough time there. I have to say the bus driver was great, stopping at all sorts of spots we would never have found on our own, and dragging us up tracks to see special places. By the time we got back to Te Anau, I wanted to start all over again. — Marianne

Don't miss out on the beautiful day boat trip here. But it rains here something like 300 days a year so go prepared. — Clare
