"Fraser Escape is the perfect access route to Fraser Island, one of the things to do whilst traveling down the east coast of Oz. We were here in December 2004 for a total of two nights (one before and one after visiting the island). "Beaches Backpacker Resort is not exactly located on the waterfront as it's name suggests, but it's close to the Hervey Bay beach and shops. It's a long way from the bus station, so don't think of getting there on foot. Fortunately they have a pick up and drop off service when you arrive and depart.
