"The Thredbo AYH hostel, nestled Kosciuszko National Park in the Snowy Mountains, has excellent accommodations. Unlike some urban Australian hostels, the kitchen and dining areas are well-outfitted and well-kept. Dormitory and private rooms are simple and functional. Laundry facilities are available. But probably the best things about the hostel are its common room and the wonderful balcony view of the ski resort at Thredbo.
