It is really clean and the showers are really nice, but you really have to be lucky with the beds, the first night I stayed here it was really sh*tty and I might as well have slept on the ground. This makes it ideally situated to the pubs, restaurants and cafes that line the Esplanade.
While still undergoing renovations, the building is in good condition and the dorm rooms are relatively clean. All rooms have air conditioning, a the more expensive dorms come with a fridge and toaster....![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() "Base Townsville is located in the transit centre and is therefore very handy for connecting with the coach services. This hostel has a very different layout from the Base on Magnetic Island, but has the same relaxed, chilled-out atmosphere.
