Coffs Harbour Herberges    "Barracuda Backpackers is a small but very homey hostel. The owner is a friendly and relaxed man who takes care of all his guests. You can take a surfboard or a bodyboard to the beach whenever you want to, there´s a great range of DVDs to watch in the TV lounge and internet is for free (but there´s only one computer). It was built from scratch (it didn't take over a previously occupied building) and opened in December 2004.
All areas of the hostel are immaculate, from the kitchen to the common area to the rooms and bathrooms. Bathrooms are only accesible by key card access and are gender-coded. This means... We have crab racing, bbq's on the balcony, trivia nights, soccer matches and loads... We are located on the Pacific Highway, next door to a full shopping centre, take-away food, internet facilities and movies, and only 200m from the Interstate/local bus stop and the Tourist Information Centre. A large range of cabins are available from economy to air-conditioned, all equipped with colour TV, fridge, cooking facilities, kettle/toaster and heating/cooling. Free bicycles are...  "I found the staff to be unhelpful and the whole site to be less than up to scratch. It's a part of a tacky pub, and appears to be quite run down and neglected.
