I am Tanzanian and have lived in Daressalam for most my life except for some eight years I spent in the US. Life in Dar is better described in person. Each person with their own unique experiences (not always positive) but with one common thread; there is something magical about Dar that keeps you coming back for more.
Daressalam … I recommend Mikadi Beach -- close to town, good food, clean and hot showers. You are also close to the Zanzibar Ferry.
