Having biked in the US all my life, where biking makes you a "rebel" making a political statement, it felt very strange to suddenly be in
in a context in which cycling made you a normal person. For myself, I think I have come to realize that I am willing to make that identity change for the trade-off of living in a bike friendly society.
I went to
two summers ago travelling with the Blue Lake Fine Arts Band (a camp located in MI, US) and it was so wonderful! I loved the view off the coast at the northern-most tip. All in all, I had a wonderful time and spending a summer there sounds like a great idea.
I have been in
for five months. It was the best days of my life. I want to go there again!
My daughter took my husband and me to
in 2000 for a 2 day visit. It wasn't nearly enough time. She was an exchange student from Canada that year. Skagen was the first place she took us to. I can't get it out of my mind and I want to spend a summer there one year. The sooner the better. I LOVE SKAGEN. The museum is an absolute must see. I bought 4 prints. The artist colony from the turn of the last century was an amazing group of artists. My daughter is also planning on going back to Denmark one day.
This is one of the coolest cities in Europe. People can sometimes seem to be a little bit cold, but Danes are great if just take some time, drink some beers. Christiania is nice, even if you don't smoke weed!

Christiania is absolutely sh*t. If you are not drug addicted avoid going there. Go to Nationalmuseet instead. It's free and definitely one of the best museums ever seen around the world. Supermarkets are not more expensive than in Italy. Two complete days are more than enough for
