Fantastic party hostel on the beach. We came here after staying in a brand new hostel in Bundaberg which was very impressive -- very boring and never gave us any work! We had work from the first day and then seven days a week for months! Nearly the entire eighty people from the hostel work on the same farm so we became like a very close family with daily war stories. The best part of this place is that it's right on the beach so everyday after work we would jump in the pool then go to the beach then finish up with drinks around the pool listening to the ocean and birds. Very peaceful.
The owner, David seems to own many of the farms in Bundaberg so there is always plenty of work at this hostel. I will really miss the relaxing and fun times of this place. We ended up staying for four weeks after we finished work just to chill out, learn to surf, and basically do nothing.

After you get used to it, it's really lovely it took some days to get me work, but when i had work i earned sh*t loads of money (my best pay was $2,200 in twelve days but average is around $600 per week) and i really enjoyed having fun with the other backpackers. sometimes it was hard, but what do you expect from fruit picking? the locals were funny -- what made work more easy -- and you can have a really great time at the beach in bargara. as i said, after you spent a few days there you get used to it and you might like it. just lower your standards and you will be fine.

Very poor and what a con Promise after promise, but never any work. The place is an old, worn-out motel -- broken windows and smelly beds. No privacy and security and if you do get any work, David will get your wages before you do, and take out a handling commission anyway. There are heaps of better places to stay in Bundy.
