Lovely hostel, you are my friend. Staying here would never end! Had much fun with young and old staff. They can find whatever you need as all stuff. I loved terrace's amazing sea view. Lovely hostel, you deserve the best review. Beautiful wooden style seems antique. The best hostel in Istanbul is Antique. My name is Jack. I will be back!

Great
I have been here a year ago. I see that these guys worked a lot and changed many things here. I see new floors and new design. And they have new thing here, last year what we were asking for. A bar cafe area upstairs. I said that the only thing they need is a bar. So I had to much fun there. Movies at the bar were great. And liked free popcorn. This was the second time here but not the last time

Would not stay here again
We stayed one night at this place. The beds were uncomfortable, and the guys that appear to run the place were unhelpful despite saying they also would provide travel advice. We were silly enough to book a further night at the end of our travels, and booked a pickup service from the airport. Our plane was two hours late (as they often are), and nobody had waited (or as it turned out, had checked the arrivals schedule). Antique hostel left us stranded there after two phone calls at 2:30 a.m., and refused to refund our money. Further emails were rude. If you value customer service dont go anywhere near these guys.

Lovely Hostel
Great place to stay and have new friends. It is in the middle of the city. You can go to all historical places by walk. There was electricity problem in city for five hours but they have generator and solved the problem. All street was dark but the hostel was shiny. It is cheap and nice hostel. I will highly recommend this place to my friends. I am sure that they will come to Istanbul and stay at Antique Hostel.

Happiness
I have stayed at many hostels in Latin America, Europe, and Istanbul but I have never seen that a bed at this price with really a lot of free facilities. (Free breakfast, internet, coffee, popcorn, coke, spaghetti, cake, cookies, Turkish tea, dvd, travel information). I liked the place much. The view from terrace was amazing. You see the Asia part from terrace. At the hostel, rooms are clean and comfortable. People are always smiley. I left the hostel keeping their smile on my face. You know, I'll be back.

Great
two years ago was my first visit to this cool hostel. now in 2007 in comparison to all the hostels i have stayed in this place remains one of my favourites by far. breakfast, free internet, great atmosphere, staff, clean hot water, great mix of people coming through -- you can not ask more of a hostel! another plus, since the last time i stayed here they have opened a rooftop cafe the perfect place to chill out, eat breakfast. with an addition of another rooftop area with more internet access, skype, and games area this will no doubt be a hostel like no other! impressive! First time was in April 2005, second time was in April 2005 again, and now it is my third time here but it will not be the last time.

Excellent
Onur is a great guy! everyone there is fun. free internet, beautiful terrace, great location! Adem is also good guy. Now I see that they are changing many things at terrace. They have two cable TVs, internet cafe, board games at terrace cafe now. Location is so good. It is just between St. Sophia and Blue Mosque. The hostel is so clean. Specially bathrooms are so good. Place is secure. It was open for twenty-four hours. There was always someone at reception. I will be back.

The worst I have tried so far
I was misled by the overall rating and I have just stayed there for three nights. The experience was totally disappointing, please think twice when you go there. Although the location is good, there are many similar price hostels or hotels in the same street, there is no reason to stay there. I booked the hotel through internet and the deposit payment (first night) has been charged through credit card. When I check out, the owner refused to accept my credit card payment (remaining two nights) to escape VAT or tax. My so-called "private room" was just next to the reception, no a sense of privacy at all. People in the reception spoke very poor english (but that is not the reason to complain). When I asked him to book airport shuttle bus, he made a serious mistake in the pick-up time. I immediately detected it and asked him to change the time for pick-up service, he scolded me and claimed that he had confirmed the pick-up time three times with me. He spoke poor english but blamed the guest poor english. The floor of private rooms was on ground floor and there is no A/C in rooms (It's not a problem to me). The staff went out the hostel and played volleyball loudly at night (even midnight). When I slept in the "private room," I could hear sound of volleyball and laughs outside the windows while I could hear people chat in the reception corner. Given a second change to visit istanbul, I will absolutely not stay there. Please think twice. I have tried more than forty hostels in europe, this was the worst I tried.

It had a nice location, close to the Blue Mosque and Hagia Sophia and the Topkapi Palace. But the reason there are so many glowing reviews of this hostel is because on your last day when you check out, they sit you down at their computer and fill out all the five star rankings for you. They look over your shoulder as you fill it out and put big pressure on you. I've definitely been to better hostels that this. It's not a bad hostel, but not as good as everyone says. Just keep it in mind while making your choice.

I have been in Antique Hostel for three nights and it is a very nice place. Everything is ok. Bedrooms, staff, location. Perfect breakfast in the roof-terrace. I will go again next time.

Everytihng at Antique Hostel was very nice! The location and the staff especially. Nuri, Cemil, and Onur helped me with tours inside the city and with travel agencies. So I would like to come here again as soon as possible. And also indicate to everybody who is coming to Istanbul.

I really enjoyed my stay at the antique hostel, the place is very well located and it has this great panoramic view on the terrace that makes your breakfast in the morning and your evenings if you stay in more enjoyable.
