Natales Hostel is only two blocks up from the Navimag Ferry terminal and a few blocks down from the main town square. It is easy to find on a corner and signage is good.
The hostel is spotless and very spacious. Each dorm room has six beds and an en-suite bathroom, which is squeaky clean. Lockers are not provided in the rooms and there are no locks on the doors, although security doesn't seem to be a problem.
The hostel has free wi-fi throughout along with a number of computer terminals to use for a small fee. On arrival guests will get thirty minutes free internet access. There is no kitchen for general use although the hostel does have a bar and café where you can purchase drinks and food, as well as a chill out area around the back to read and relax. There is a small book exchange too.
The breakfast is buffet style, with cereals, toast, banana bread, juices, and tea and coffee. This is a refreshing change from many hostel breakfasts in South America -- it is worth staying here just for the breakfast.
However, because the hostel is so big and empty, it can feel a little isolated. It is not the sort of place for a party or for meeting other travelers but a refreshing change for somewhere quiet, clean, and a little more upmarket than the average backpacking place, especially if you have just come off the Navimag ferry.
There is a travel agency affiliated to the hostel although its opening hours are somewhat erratic. There are plenty of agencies to book trips with in town. It is not the cheapest place in Puerto Natales, although the cleanliness, space, and breakfast makes up for the cost and a good night's sleep is guaranteed.
