• Transport to the Black Sheep
• From the North Bus Terminal: you’ll arrive here if coming from Bogota, Santa Marta, Baranquilla, Cartagena, Mompox, Turbo, Rio Claro among others.
• > Metro. Medellin has a great metro system and the North Bus Terminal is connected to the metro station Caribe. Take the metro south ten or so stops to Poblado station and we are a ten minute walk from there. The metro costs 2,000 pesos per ticket. There are no daily or weekly specials. To buy a metro ticket line up at the counter and buy from the window personnel.
• > Taxi. Outside the bus station there is a line of taxis. Go to the front of the line. Tell the taxi driver to take you to Patio Bonito and then give him the address of the hostel. Make sure the taxi driver turns on the taxi meter when you start your journey. The meter starts at around 2.700 pesos. It is not necessary to pay any extras on top of the price stated on the meter at the end of your journey. The cost should be no more than 15.000 pesos.
• From the South Bus Terminal: you’ll arrive here if coming from Ecuador, Popayan, Cali, Salento, Manizales, Jardin, and so on.
• > Walk. If you want to do it cheap the hostel is a 25 minute walk from the Southern Bus Station.
• > Taxi. Same as the taxi option above. Cost should be less than 7.000 pesos. Again tell the driver to take you to Patio Bonito and then give him the address.
• From the local airport, Olaya Herrera(OAH): you’ll arrive here if flying in from the Pacific Coast, Acandi (for trips to Capurgana and the Panamanian border) or Bogota if flying with Satena
• > Taxi. The local airport is located next to the South Bus Terminal. So the best option is a taxi which will cost no more than 7.000 pesos.
• From the International Airport, Jose Maria Cordoba, Rionegro (MDE): you’ll arrive here if you’re flying in from another country or most domestic flights.
• > Bus. Pick up your luggage and exit the terminal and you’ll see a line of taxis. At the front of the line are buses. They will take you to either San Diego Mall or to Hotel Nutibara in the center of Medellin. The buses cost just under 10.000 pesos and take about fifty minutes. The cheapest option would be to take the bus into the city center and take a metro from there to the station Pobaldo and walk ten minutes to the hostel. Better but a little more expensive would be to take the bus to San Diego Mall and then take a taxi, which are normally waiting at the bus drop off point, to the hostel. This should cost around 8.000 pesos more.
