This place was awful. The staff are absolutely useless and offer no help, the rooms are dirty and the bathrooms are disgusting. The free breakfast is coffee or tea and one tiny little bun -- you need your own knife to put the tub of butter on and if you don't have a cup then you can't have a drink. W stayed here for two nights as we thought it was the cheapest place -- it is not, there is another beautiful hostel on the next road (can't book online) which is cheaper and a thousand times nicer. If you actually want to sleep don't stay here, as there is loud music until 5 a.m., people screaming and shouting, and paper thin walls.

Out of the five hostels we've visited in Buenos Aires, this was the best for meeting people who were looking for more than parties and drugs. People were constantly coming and going, even in the off-season. It's only one block from the subway. They have several new computers in the common area. They have several bilingual employees. It's right next to a bunch of great San Telmo restaurants. And it's among the cheapest hostels. However, the hostel was always moist and many rooms smelled moldy. The "lockers" were flimsy wooden boxes. Because of these reasons, we left after a week. Bottom line: Worth a visit if you're a budget traveller.

Where to start...This is by far the worst hostel I have ever stayed in. The building is open-air, i.e., no roofs in some places and very, very cold. The beds and pillows suck and when I was there, there was no hot water on the second floor. So I had to run through the hostel in my little towel just to take a shower. Before I checked out the hostel, I paid for the two weeks, then after two nights I decided I wanted to stay somewhere else. But, they wouldn't give me a refund, not even 50 percent. So do yourself a favor and never stay at this hostel.
