Wir haben 2 Bars: die Bar auf der Dachterrasse ist berühmt für ihren Blick auf die Akropolis, und in der Alan Border Bar erhältst du das billigste Bier der Stadt. Jede Nacht ist etwas los und du wirst unsere abwechslungsreichen Partys und die großartige Stimmung lieben. Nach Mitternacht zeigen wir dir die angesagten Athener Clubs, Bars und Insidertips z.B. in Psiri oder am Strand.
Unsere Zimmer sind im Winter beheizt und haben im Sommer Klimaanlage. Wir bieten das ganze Jahr über warmes Wasser zum Duschen. Die Betten sind neu und bequem. Unser Hostel ist ruhig gelegen und somit sind auch die Zimmer ruhig und du wirst bestimmt nicht von Straßenlärm geweckt. Das Personal ist super-freundlich und hilft dir jederzeit gerne weiter.
Du findest hier alle Sachen vor, die du von einem Top-Hostel erwarten kannst, z.B. Computer mit Internetzugang, eine große Gemeinschaftsküche, Waschmaschine und Trockner, Kaffee-Bar, großzügige Badezimmer, Balkone, Stadtplan und Informationen über Athen und Griechenland.
In unserem Hostel kannst du Geld sparen: nutze unsere voll ausgestattete Küche und koche dein Essen selbst (Gewürze, Nudeln, Reis u.a. sind umsonst). So wird dein Aufenthalt in Athen nur halb so viel kosten.
Das Beste aber ist unsere Lage! Wir sind nur 2 Minuten von der Akropolis entfernt und ebenfalls nur wenige Schritte von allen anderen bedeutsamen archäologischen Sehenswürdigkeiten.

The Johnny-Depp-lookalike receptionist is very nice and helped us with everything. Perfect central location, reasonable prices, good entertainment programme in the evening in the Sports Bar. We had booked an apartment for 2, it was sufficiently large, the furniture was pretty new and it had everything necessary – fridge, 2 cooking plates, pan, pot, dishes and cutleries for 2. Enough sockets, a TV, air conditioning and heating, 2 small balconies.

It was very clean. Very quiet at night. It is located in a great area close to the acropolis. Close to plaka. Close to metro statios. Area was really safe. People there was very friendly and helpful.

25 euro für einen 6er Dorm sind absolut zuviel. Wir haben für 30 / 35 euro pro person ein sehr gutes hotel in der gleichen umgebung gefunden. Das hostel ist sehr lärmig auf eine ziemlich verkehrsreiche strasse. das hostel ist sauber und ziemlich neu, aber wirklich über besonderen charakter verfügt es nichts. das personal ist sehr nett und hilfsbereit.

Location, location, location indeed Right in Plaka, close to the Acropolis and many other sights. The metro is only a minutes walk as well. Staff is friendly and the 24 hour reception is handy. The rooftop bar is amazing simply for the view. Rooms are decent and facilities adequate. Didn't spend a ton of time in them, but when I was there I was comfortable. Breakfast was decent considering there were hard boiled eggs. All in all an extremely good hostel that I would definitely suggest. — Eric (2012-06-10) Great location, super homey atmosphere Stayed here for 3 days, after the most horrendous night in a hostel in the Omonia area (dont go there!!!). At 21 euros per night a bit expensive, but this is well made up for -- Nice staff, fine dorm rooms, perfect location near the acropolis, free coffee, tea and early bird breakfast. Best thing about this hostel though is the interaction with other travelers in the downstairs bar. I met lots of people and had so much fun with them!! — Hugo, Netherlands (2011-04-05) Relaxing with friendly helpful staff in best location in Athens I stayed at the backpackers part of this hostel-Studios from 5th to 23rd November 2009 and it was great. Located within a two-minute walk from Acropolis Metro, five minutes from Acropolis and other historical attractions. It's in the best location in Athens, near many affordable restaraunts and hostel has its own bar three minutes walk away where the simple, healthy breakfast is served -- next door to a launderette. Bar hosts weekly pub quizzes amongst other activities and has the cheapest beer in Athens at 3 Euroes a pint and 2 Euroes a pint during happy hour -- 7 to 8 p.m. All the staff are fantastic, welcoming, friendly, and helpful, I had a blast. The only addition to make the hostel perfect would be a snack machine for chocolate after midnight! There is no kitchen at present as the Greek authority made them rebuild it and change the license law. However, it should be back up and running by January if not sooner. The rooftop bar is only open in summer at the backpackers due to cold weather after October! It's a fun place and I met so many cool people. The location couldn't get any better, the people were fun, most of the staff were really nice. The kitchen was great, the rooms were sufficiently clean. It was nice to have the rooftop terrace and en-suite bathrooms. Happy hour at the bar and their pub crawl were lots of fun. It's literally right next to the Acropolis, right near the metro Akropoli, and walking distance to almost every attraction. There is a lot of cheap and excellent restaurant around. Cheap beer at the hostel, nice atmosphere. They organize trips to wonderful places but go by your own it is much cheaper and it does not worth the guide and the lunch included. The cooked dinner was very good and convenient. The laundry facilities were convenient also. Fairly secure. Only issue was the bathroom -- the showers leak and flood the bathroom and each bathroom comes with a squeegie to clean the water off the floor when you are done. Also, the curtain sticks to you. Other than that, the place was good. — Leanne, Canada (2007-05-10) i am a real traveler of many years, and i think the hostel is a perfect representation of a backpackers. it was clean, safe, spacious. sure they partied and were busy, but the staff i think tried their best to keep us all happy. and i mean if you're a backpacker, you should have some ability to take care of yourself. honestly i believe this hostel is great, definitely the most entertainment i've had at a hostel anywhere, and really highlights the statement "you get what you pay for." so if you want to sit quietly in your room, or avoid meeting anybody i don't recommend this hostel -- i don't recommend any hostels, go to a hotel. athens backpackers, keep up the good work.
