Situated in the heart of Cape Tribulation is PK's Jungle Village. It is quite a large resort with its own on-site bar and restaurant, however being in the middle of a National Park, it is a fairly quiet place.
The hostel offers dorm rooms, double/twin rooms, as well as camping facilities for a cheap price. The dorms are fairly large and very clean with fewer bugs and spiders than one might of expected as all dorms are outside cabins. The bathrooms are also very clean with plenty of sinks, showers, and lavatories, so you will never have to queue for one.
The hostel is also located next to a convenience store, which is handy to buy meals to cook yourself. It is also worth eating at the hostel's restaurant as the food is very good and cheap. The backpacker kitchen is moderately clean, however not only do you have to put down a large deposit and pay a fee for plates and cutlery, it's also very under-equipped with few pots and hobs to go between many backpackers.
Other hostel facilities include internet access, pool tables, swimming pool, and laundry. The main reception can book you onto any tours/activities you may want to do such as horse riding or kayaking.
Overall, PK's Jungle Village is a very nice hostel, convenient for accessing all the attractions of Cape Tribulation. However the main coach companies do not visit the area, so to access PK's you will either need to drive there, catch the bus from Port Douglas, or arrange an organised tour.
